My checklist scan date is 19th OCT 2015. my 30 day period was don on 18th NOV and i called NVC this morning they informed me that case is under review it will take couple of days. does anyone have idea how many days will it take to get CC on my case

I have the same date as yours..... Should get a result within next 24 he's..... Hoping for the best

Is anyone aware how long does it take after cc to get to the embassy in india? How long do they take time to alloy dates in india?

I am in us and need to plan my trip back to get ready in time for interview..... Any help would be apppreciated.

Hello Everyone, I have been following this forum since earlier this month, first of all, congrats on everyone with a case completed. Wishing you Godspeed on the rest of your journey. As for the rest of us: hang in there!

I have a question and maybe someone here has had experience and can answer: I need to translate the PCs, BC, and Military Record for my husband. I know anyone with good knowledge of the language can translate and certify but that is not the route convenient for me as I do not know anyone that speaks Arabic, Italian, and German. These are the 3 languages the original documents were issued.

My question is: has anyone used a reliable online certified translator? I have found many on the internet but don't know which to use and which to trust.

Any feedback is very much appreciated!!!

Hi Chiquita! I do know this company has translators all over the world (my sister in law works for them here in Argentina) maybe they can help you http://www.globallanguages.com/services/translation

I don't know how they work with the certification part, but maybe you can ask them.

I´m sorry about the silly question but what does it mean to review the DS-261 over the phone or to unlock it? I´m so lost

Hi adaniel, after anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, you can call NVC and talk to someone there who will review the information in your DS-261 with you (make sure everything is correct, email addresses and phone numbers). After that happens, you are able to pay the IV fee and submit the DS-260 form and send the IV package and Affidavit of Support package. You should check out the NVC guide here!

Hello every one. I called NVC this evening at 6:00 PM, I was able to get through after my second call and a 27 minutes wait.

A very polite gentleman named Mack took my call and told me that NVC received my case on 11/16/2015, He also said that today 11/19/2015 they started to scan my case and it may take up to 40 to 42 days to obtain a case number.

Well, we all know how long a case number takes after the package is received, an average of 2 weeks and less than a week sometimes.

What is new to me is the "scanning thing". I thought NVC ONLY scanned barcodes they generate for packages we send to them.

Apparently they scan all the documents they receive from USICS.

I will appreciate any input from the VJ community on the "scanning of documents".

They scan all the documents received from you for the IV and AOS package. They review every single document you submitted to make sure you have everything needed before completing your case and sending it to the embassy.

That is why they need time to go thru everything.

USCIS has nothing to do with NVC, as far as documents go.

The documents from USCIS do not actually go to NVC. They go straight to the embassy.

If what you said is correct, then, what is what USCIS sends to NVC? and why will USCIS would send documents directly to the embassies not knowing if NVC will approve the visa? It does not make sense neither will be an efficient way for the process because it will be split in two different paths after NOA2 creating HAVOC to meet the two paths at each embassy.

With all due respect I disagree with your statement that USCIS sends the documents straight to the embassy.

I am not an expert on this subject, I kindly ask the veterans and the moderators in VJ to clarify this for all of us.

Thanks for the answer! It shows delivered on Nov. 16 .. we called NVC yesterday and the operator told my husband to wait for a week to scan it.

Where on the website exactly do the 3 N/A's show up? I know it's been said a bunch of times but I didn't pay close attention since I wasnt at that step. Now Im closer and have no idea where I should look.
