NVC Filers - November 2015

Did you delete your cookies from your browser and such? I think I did my DS-260 in Safari because I was nervous firefox would be dodgy, and it was fine...(I'm on a Mac), but these kinds of hitches seem to relate to cookies a lot of the time.

I did it, in Safari, and didn't help unfortunately. We tried from different computers, Mac and Win, and from computers that never saw the ceac website before (so no cookie problems there), and nothing seems to let us review the DS260

Oh, wow

Is there a help link/email address on travel.state.gov? I know I had some trouble with the USCIS site and emailed their technical people about it, but they never responded. It sounds as though you've done everything right.

I'll cross my fingers that a supervisor is able to get a technical person to fix it for you ASAP.

When I did the form, I printed off each page to PDF as I went (I didn't know there was a review/confirmation copy thing) so technically maybe you could submit by reviewing that way? or I can't remember if the submit button only follows the review step? (probably so, now that I think about it). Good luck.

Exactly a month ago I submitted the DS-260, yesterday I FINALLY was able to send in both the AOS and IV packages. It should be received Friday. I'm going to assume I have to wait 30 days from that for a CC.?

Got this yesterday after 2 weeks of CC confirmation.

The National Visa Center (NVC) recently reviewed your I-864 Affidavit of Support form. The Affidavit of Support form had one or more sections with missing or incorrect information or was missing required supporting documents, or both.

Please review the instructions below to complete a new Affidavit of Support form or to obtain the missing supporting documents. Send the corrected Affidavit of Support form or original documents that are missing to the principal applicant so he or she can take them to the immigrant visa interview. You should also send photocopies of the Affidavit of Support form to the principal applicant for each traveling family member to take to the visa interview. Failure to take the original documents and copies for each traveling family member to the visa interview can cause processing delays. The Consular Officer will review the corrected form and documents at the time of the interview.

You do not need to contact the NVC at this time. Also, do not send an updated I-864 Affidavit of Support form or documents to the NVC. After we schedule the immigrant visa interview, we will send you an appointment letter.

If you need a new I-864 Affidavit of Support form, you can find it at uscis.gov/forms.

[x] Item 8. The household size must equal the sum of: Sponsor + traveling applicants + household members filing a Form I-864A.

Our household size is two and my husband is the sponsor.

After a long wait of 3 weeks i received my case number yesterday on 11/16 and today this morning i submitted DS261, right after that I spoke to customer service and she went over and reviewed my DS261 as well, also she told me that i can send my I864 (AOS forms) and other civil documents with cover sheet which will be available as soon as I pays AOS fees online, this afternoon i received couple of emails from NVC with welcome letter, and fees invoice, which i paid right away online.

Now I have documents cover sheet available, should i send my documents and forms (AOS and IV package) now, or should i wait for AOS and IV fees to be PAID and then send the Package.

WOW reviewed the day you submitted that's great. No send in AOS and IV now. Why would you delay yourself a few weeks. Do it today or tomorrow. Congratulations.

Hey, Nkkystel, you just have to bring the new I-864 to your interview: if your number was 2 but you arrived at it wrong, they send this (I got this too!)

on page 4, Part 5,

number 1: the number you entered in Part 3 number 28 = 1 (you as spouse)

number 2: persons not sponsored: yourself = 1 (your husband)

number 3: If you are currently married, enter 1 for your spouse----except you don't enter it, because you already counted your spouse under number 1. Just leave that and the rest at 0, add up to 2 at the bottom.

Congratulations.

But note to everyone. Soon as AOS fee is paid to get through faster cut down the process send both AOS and IV together after AOS is paid. You do not have to wait for IV also to be paid. That's too much time ideal.

I bet anything he included himself or you twice and got 3. Tell him to review. Since he has to bring updated to interview he will be using the new form and it self calculates.

You will have to have originals for the interview also.
