Hey Guys,

This is going to be my first post on VJ, but i have followed all the posts for the IR1/CR1 processes and timelines which have been very helpful to me as i had done all the paper work on my own. Thank you for all the posts that people have posted and all the responses to the same. This forum has been very helpful to me and has given me a lot of hope for my own process.

I just had a quick question if any one could possibly help for. I am the beneficiary on the case and my wife is a US citizen. My scan date for the NVC has been the 21st of Oct. By when should i expect a case complete as every time i have called the NVC they have said my file has not been opened yet to be reviewed. Any help for the same would be much appreciated.

Probably sometime around 30 days from 21 October, so coming up soon!

Thanks for the response and lets hope that this will be the last 2 weeks at the NVC. My case has been over a year including the USCIS and NVC process and now I am eagerly waiting for it to be over.

Try calling them on November 23rd if you do not see anything online (ceac.state.gov) by November 20th.

After a long wait of 3 weeks i received my case number yesterday on 11/16 and today this morning i submitted DS261, right after that I spoke to customer service and she went over and reviewed my DS261 as well, also she told me that i can send my I864 (AOS forms) and other civil documents with cover sheet which will be available as soon as I pays AOS fees online, this afternoon i received couple of emails from NVC with welcome letter, and fees invoice, which i paid right away online.

Now I have documents cover sheet available, should i send my documents and forms (AOS and IV package) now, or should i wait for AOS and IV fees to be PAID and then send the Package.

thanks

Congratulations! Your case has just kept on moving.

Go right ahead and send the documents!

It is going to take a few days for the IV fee to show as paid. They also will take a little while to review your DS 260.

I feel I am totally stuck at the NVC :'(

Two weeks ago, after we paid the IV Bill, the DS-260 became available, but we have never been able to submit it, since we get "Application Error - Please try again later" after we press "Review" (yes, I tried with Explorer too). We have been calling NVC for two weeks now, and they were unable to suggest how to fix this. Last week they put us under Supervisor Review. The other day they put in for us supervisor callback request, but said this might take up to 42 days.

In the meanwhile, we sent our documents (an NVC rep suggested we could do it even before paying the IV bill), and they have a scan date of October 16th.

Does anybody have any idea on how this could proceed? This looks like a simple technical error on the page of DS260 and it's annoying they cannot fix it and we are totally stuck.

Thank you so much for your reply and kindness! I guess I´m panicking because our previous process was denied (totally our fault though) and now I am conditioned to expect a no from them.

I am following your timeline :) I see yours is also coming from CSC.

Good luck to us. I hope we can hear good news soon.

Glad i can relieve any bad thoughts. Don't think too much about it, you will receive your case number within the next couple of days i guarantee it.

zeeeeeeek please lets now when you get your case number assigned

Not a problem will do.

Thanks for posting your information. We also got our Case approved from USCIS on the 7th of October and it has reached NVC on the exact same day as you. Since you got your case number on the 16th i bet many of us will be getting it pretty soon. I think USCIS sends approved cases on certain days so those who got approved same week as us have been posted on the same date which is why NVC received it on the same day. Your case was probably on the top of the pile so it is only a matter of time till they get to ours. Good Luck Everyone.

Did you delete your cookies from your browser and such? I think I did my DS-260 in Safari because I was nervous firefox would be dodgy, and it was fine...(I'm on a Mac), but these kinds of hitches seem to relate to cookies a lot of the time.

I hope you're able to submit soon! good luck!
