Hello!

As we sent our documents packs separately, and our scan dates are Oct 5th and 13th, I counted the whole process from the latest date.

On Friday it was 30 days and my husband was told that my case was going to be seen that day. Whole weekend I spent on CEAC site but nothing got changed into N/A`s (((( I assume they just didn`t look at the case or there`s a problem and we would have an RFE.

I know I know, I shouldn`t be worried before we call them again and ask, but I just can`t help it. Also seems like they put cases under Superviser review without asking so feels like that is going to happen.

Anyway, me dates are close to yours so I also wait news from you )))) Good Luck!

Thats what they told me too on friday that they havent looked into my case yet. But the next day i saw a 3rd n/a so dont lose hope :)

Ditdot, you are not supposed to send originals to NVC. You send photocopies/certified photocopies (where is the case), and you keep the originals which you will need at the interview. Do not send originals!!!

NVC is notorious for losing documents!

Hi BarryPrincess201! You can now start calling NVC. This is the phone number: +1 (603) 334-0700 (for immigrant visa). If you call them and you hear that they are busy with other calls, just hang up and redial again and again and again and again, till you hear the ring :) After that, you need to press 1 for English. Once you do that you will hear the options menu. There are 7 options. I am not sure which one you need to select so you can ask if they received your case or not and if they have a case number and IIN for you.

But listen carefully to that menu and you will figure it out. Best time to call them is as soon as they open at 7 am or before they are closing, at midnight.

Also, if you haven't read Saylin's wiki, you should really do it. It's really helpful! Here's the link: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Good luck! :)

Thank you so much for the reply , we will try to call later and update...:joy:

I was curious because i have seen posts where applicants sending in photocopies were issued a checklist. I now do realize that advice i have been reading here on VJ were from old threads. Turns out, NVC did have their policy changed from the 12th of November, 2014, about collecting only photocopies of supporting documents instead of the originals.

I believe that each case may differ. It is required that we send in photocopies but NVC may still request for the original or the certified copy depending on each case.

Thanks lonelac and jempot

There might be some "false" checklists with wrong requests - so in that case you can just call NVC. Usually Operators say they are really wrong and everything is oK. I have sent only Police certificate as original, because its not a problem to get it here and also you can have 2 copies of it at the same time. So I have an extra copy in case they lose the first one.

And TravelDocs says - only copies. Originals for Interview.

Hello elliotrick23,

I just got my case complete today. My scan date was Oct. 13th, so 34 days. A couple of us around my scan date has taken longer than the 30 days so don't be surprised if it goes to next week. But good thing was no checklists or RFE's :)

Just to add, I called on the 30th day and the rep told me that it was going to go under supervisors review that same day. It took a little longer (6 days) but at least not the mandated 42 days.

Best of luck to you!

Dear VJ moderators, is there a new spreadsheet for the NVC process? (NOA2 thru CC).

I just realized that our Queen "Saylin" does not support hers anymore.

Note: I do not criticize her for her decision, she already has done a lot, her NVC Wiki guide is the "NVC gospel", a must read for all. If every one reads it, the traffic with s.... basic questions will decrease by 90%.
