Like I already said, formal and dress up clothes makes me feel my best - confident, beautiful, upbeat. It has always helped me to dress for success, since my first exams in high school. My husband is somewhat like that - he a is a lawyer by profession, a police officer, and going formal feels good for him. That's why we are dressing up for the interview. I never questioned what we should wear, we were just hesitating about the color of the tie.

Despite what anyone says, wearing what a person feels confident in DOES make a difference! If you FEEL confident and pulled together, you're behavior will convey that pulled together confidence. Example: by nature I'm sure of myself, outgoing and warm toward strangers, but I remember wearing an outfit to a function that ended up making me feel a loack of confidence. It effected how I felt and as a result,I bombed. You've explained very clearly why the clothes do matter to you, and that makes it clear enough that you're going to do better at the interview if you're dressed quite well. Oh and by the way.....the line of work I'm in requires frequent interviews, I'm careful what I wear and I definitely notice what the other person is wearing, and it does effect my impression of them. This is just human nature......all of this started over just one question....."Which color tie is best?" I suggest going with the BLUE :-) Best of luck to you! I'm looking forward to seeing your post to let us know you've been approved with no further ado.

Call them anyway. I felt the same way. I got to where I would dread waiting on hold for ages, only to hear the same old thing, "Nothing yet".....but I kept calling anyway.

By calling, I got the awesome news a full week before the interview email arrived. That was one week of pure joy and excitement that my husband and I would not have felt if I had stopped calling. Being a month into the supervisors review, your good news has to be coming any day now! :-)

ISSUED! :joy:

Since the day after the interview 3 days ago, I've been unable to resist looking at our case on CEAC every few hours. It went from Ready, to Administrative Processing the same day as the interview on the 18th. It was still AP 2 hours ago but now it's changed to ISSUED and I am soooo happy. Thank you God!

Interesting... So, even if they announce to you, that the visa is approved, your status will still go to AP. It's good to know, otherwise I would just go crazy, if I see that after the positive interview.

Congrats, Lowlie!

It's the DS260 confirmation number that was in the email attachment you received when you completed your DS260. You could get it by signing in to DS260 on CEAC site and looking under sign.

How can we add newly born child to an IR1 case?

Now I'm just waiting for my wife interview more than 4 months!
Should we start from the scratch with the USCIS?

Congrats, Lowlie!

Yes, after you're approved, your case will still say READY for a day or two (sometimes up to a week) then you'll see it change to Administrative Processing which means the visa is being processed, so that's good news, then from 24 hours to a week (or even 2 weeks) later it will change to ISSUED...so now I'm trying to find out how to know when it's ready to be picked up.
