Any idea how to get case expedite. I mean what are the grounds to get the expedite ? Thanx guys u guys been very helpful. I prey everyone here gets thru quick. Cheers

From what I've read, financial, medical and family emergencies are the grounds to get an expedite. In our case, the reasons my husband requested for an expedite on my interview was that my UAE residence visa will be expiring on January, and my mother-in-law suffered a stroke. Our CC was Oct 29, expedite approved on Nov. 13. Until now, no interview date. CEAC website shows IN TRANSIT yesterday, and READY today. So we're hoping to hear something from the embassy before the day ends.

Hi everyone! I just called NVC and I was told that there isn't an interview scheduled for me just yet. I asked if they are still scheduling for December, for my country Romania and she said "unfortunately no, December is already full for the embassy in Bucharest".

So I'll be waiting the next thread January 2016 Interviews hihi

I have personally always been a family girl. Despite having older siblings, I technically grew up an only child. I adopted friends as brothers/sisters/cousins. But it was a real aha moment as soon as I married someone overseas, yet alone West Africa, whom they do not know. More often than expected,I heard more "be careful" "make sure he doesn't scam you" than "I'm so happy you are happily in love." The older I got the more I realize that...sure my family wants to meet him, but only to quiz him and drill his brain, not actually get to know him. Sorry this post is a little long. I was chiming in from your other post about your younger brother. I will feel the same way as soon as I publicly post the first new picture of us together after the airport greet on my Facebook page.

The only things I've heard from my family have been, "be careful"...."He's probably scamming you"...."How do you know he's not a terrorist?"....."He'll force you to convert and abuse you" and "You're out of God's will" (which is the most arrogant thing a person can say. How does anyone know what God's will is for someone else's life?!) My family does want to meet my husband for the same reason you mentioned. They want to grill him. When they start interrogating him, I'm going to put a stop to it.

Since I posted about my younger brother, I've learned more and it looks like my older brother may have also been in on it. Once my husband is here, we're going to write a formal request to the FBI for our records which we have a right to obtain under the Freedom of Information Act. I hope the records might help us to know more.

I have a friend who kept her marriage under wraps from her family until he was with her, then she filled her facebook with photos, including of course her profile and cover pic, That's how the negative family members learned about it. :-P

i think they will send you instruction letter..and after that you can choose your own interview date..but i am not 100 % sure..good luck

Be sure to include very clear proof of the circumstance. If it's medical, have the physician write a letter which explains why he or she believes the foreign spouse would help the situation. Such a letter carries enough weight to get the approval for an expedite.

5 HOURS after my husband was supposed to have his interview, they finally called him in. He sat in the embassy all this time! By the time he called me, I was a nervous wreck and was googling home remedies for nausea caused by anxiety!

When he called, he told me he was kept waiting all that time and had just got his phone and was able to call.....then our call cut and it took 15 minutes to get back in touch! I was FREAKING OUT because I still didn't know the results!.......Finally I have learned that we are...........

APPROVED!!!!!!!!

This is a miracle for us, on account of the FBI thing. When someone (which I'm sure was family members of mine!) filed a FALSE FBI report that my husband is a terrorist (they are against me marrying a Muslim), a full blown FBI and NSA investigation was launched. When I was interviewed by an FBI agent in late September, he told me not to expect my husband to be able to come to the USA for a very long time, because they would have to make quite sure the report was truly false before he could be approved. Since then I have been in such major PRAYER to break this stronghold that was quite effectively put up to keep us apart! GOD ANSWERS FERVENT PRAYER even in awful circumstances!

My husband was approved today!!

I was confident and faithful!!

But I still woke up every hour until I got that text from hubby saying I am done with the interview and I will be coming to get my visa on Tuesday at 2pm!

Been there. I have family members who won't talk about my marriage or husband. I understand the concern since haven't met him. I decided not to hide it. I have a right to be happy. The more I talk about him, the better than can know about him. I figure maybe it won't be so awkward whrn they meet. He desperately wants to be part of the family. He needs it. We deserve it.

In my particular case, I informed my family because I figured they'd just have to get over it. It hadn't occurred to me that anyone would do more than just give me negative advise. When an FBI agent accompanied by a police officer came to my home because we were reported to be involved in terrorism, I felt such enormous regret for telling my family. I'm not going to tell them he was approved. I don't want any of them to know until he's here with me.
