Hi everyone! First of all, good luck to everyone who has interviews really soon and congrats to the rest who got CC recently and/or interview dates :)

We got CC yesterday, as well, and my husband and I were wondering if we can ask for expedite now.

Do we have to wait for them to actually schedule my interview and after ask for expedite or we can do it now? My husband is having some issues with the military... he can't get a security clearance due to my "no status"!!! Which is ridiculous! Not sure if it's a good reason for expedite or not but we said it's worth a shot, since he really needs that security clearance (he needs that job!)

Thank you!

I found myself reading posts more than once a day. I really had to cut back. I knew we had prepared for the interview. He was calm and felt he would do well. I had to do whatever it took to stay calm for his sake. Every time I thought if it I just prayed. I didn't want my stress to effect him. He asked me to trust him and I did.

He had his interview on 11/5 and did super. They asked for more paperwork and put it into AP. Within 3 days it was issued.

My point is, keep calm and trust thst he knows what he's doing. All will be well.

I'm happy to learn you were approved and you had only a very short AP of a few days. Congratulations! :goofy:

I'm not allowing my husband to see the stress and nerves. I know if I show it, it will effect him. He's always very calm, level headed and so positive. I'm so proud of him. I hope they won't ask for more paperwork from us. It seems that we have everything they could want, but who knows!? I have faith that tomorrow I'll be reporting that he's been approved.

People like you are such a source of encouragement.

I am happy you got your CC finally!

Thank God, it didn't take too long.

Regarding the expedite, we applied for one based on financial hardships and having troubles fulfilling my American responsibilities with limited access to the USA jobs, for I can only work online while staying in Georgia with my husband. But we were denied.

It never hurts to give it a try and to apply though.

Hi guys,

Just to update... We received our interview date for December 18, 2015. Rebecca got her medical scheduled for December 14. We are now trying to figure everything out for the interview and put everything together! Could anyone elaborate on picking your visa up the next day after the interview? I read where you might have that option vs using the courier service. We would like to do that, but I'm not sure if we still need to fill out the courier information or not. Any thoughts?

You have to register with Loomis for Canada to get your Visa.

What is your CC date your timeline is incomplete and wanted to add you to the spreadsheet.

Hey guys just giving you an update about my interview on October 20th. I was given "the blue form" explaining that my visa was rejected. The lady interviewing me (who was very ubrupt, didn't smile much and kept reminding me I was under oath because I kept starting my sentences which 'erm, I think') explained it was because my birth certificate wasn't the original from birth (it was issued a few years after). She explained that I need two affidavits explaining I was the child of my parents. I also had 'no live trace' on my police certificate and I didn't have a SAR certificate! (Anyone wouldda though I wasn't prepared). However, she explained that I didn't need an SAR (I applied for one anyways the same day I got back home from the interview just in case and it's still not back yet) and that they would carry their own background check and I should just bring the two affidavits. I sent that off on the 11th of this month and by yesterday evening the status changed from administrative processing to ISSUED!!!! I'm so excited and I'm hoping it comes by thanksgiving so me and hubby can spend it together with his family. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to contact you about picking it up from courier office in London? Many thanks and Good luck!!!!!

That's awesome. Congratulations.

Thank you! :-)

Time seems to go slow, but then all of a sudden the day arrives. The wait really is so miserable though. It's like life is in a strange limbo as the days pass. If you're like me, no matter what you're doing, ALL day the upcoming interview is right there on your mind and feels like a weight.

I completely agree. Good luck!

omg...so true...it's my husband's interview and I am so worried..on the other hand, my husband is calm/relaxed...how I wish I could do the same...he keeps asking me to relax and stay calm but I can't...so close to being together, I just don't want anything to go wrong...I want to be positive but all the horror stories on VJ are scaring me ....can't wait for it to be over and be with my husband again....Please keep us in your prayers...Hope all this will end soon for all of us and we'll together with our spouses soon.

It was the complete opposite for us!

My husband was the one who was getting a little nervous, whereas I was the one who was calm.

Not until we reviewed the interview questions and documents together for the last time. Then I was just too excited for him. Used up my minutes to call him "just because" lol.

Good luck to you!

Early in the process it's good to investigate into all the different stories and learn everything you can, then once you're getting closer to the interview it really is better to not read them anymore, and if something does go wrong. rush to VJ and post what happened and ask for advise.

My husband and I just had our last conversation before the interview. We went over everything one last time that he's taking to the interview. When we said good-night, I almost cried. It's just nerves! My youngest daughter isn't well and we desperately need him here with us. I know I won't sleep at all tonight and I'm not even going to try. .

I'm up with you Lowlie. Sorry to hear about your daughter.
