Hey Guys .. Finally I got the interview scheduled :)

I received an email with P4 letter. My interview is 16th December 2015 :)

Case Complete was 09th November and received interview email 13th November (4 days after CC).

Well congratulations. I have updated you . And funny thing your days to interview has just pushed the average from 61 days to 62. In July before the summer mess we were 58 day average wait. The embassies need to step their game up

I just thought, that my husband might have already received his Alien number. I guess, it is issued, when the petition is approved. How can we get to know it?

When you pickup your Visa package is when you will know your Alien Number.

I am in shock!!! NVC just sent an email to my husband that they have approved our expedite request, and that any further questions we have regarding processing and interview dates should be addressed to the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi!! I will be calling them on Sunday ( the start of the week here in the Middle East) to get my interview date!! ????

It's on the I-797 form, I do believe.

That's not your A number. It's in the Visa package.

Also woke up to an interview letter this morning. :joy: Interview will be December 21st, so looks like it's gonna be a very good Christmas this year. :D

Hey guys, just wondering. Everywhere they say bring original interview call letter(P4), so are we going to get like an official letter via post and that is what we are supposed to take with us to medical, biometrics, etc? Or can we just print out the P4 we received via email and would that be counted as original?

I am really confused about this, please help!

My interview is exactly in a month!

Also, if anyone can tell me about the documents we will need for biometrics, that would be super nice!

Nothing comes in mail. Your email and that attachment of the actual letter on US state department letter head is it.

That's not your A number. It's in the Visa package.

My A number is on my I-797 (actually NOA2, the fancy green hard copy), right above my name in the BENEFICIARY slot.

As I later explained, I had a green card as a child (see my handle, oncefuturealien) and apparently you keep your same number for ever.

Since I used this number as my A number in later NVC paperwork that has been accepted, I am going to guess that's the case, anyway.

Anyway I didn't realize this wasn't a universal practice, so I'm sorry if anyone has been fretting about it.

The 797 is your NOA1 letter, there's a slot for A number.

I don't know if everyone has it on there or not, I'm sorry; I used to have a green card when I was a kid and it seems they keep the same number, so maybe it's not assigned to everyone at that point.

Well that explains it. Your A # and SS# you have for life. Everyone else you get A# when you get Visa package.

When filling I 864 form there is section where they ask for Alien Number, my sponsor is a US Citizen so what do i write in the alien number box?

Hello every 1 :D, if we request for our case to be expedited for an interview, will it cause a delay?

It shouldn't but you never know. All you can do is ask and see the processing takes a few weeks just know that. You may not even know if you are approved ro not i a few weeks. It's all about your embassy also and slots they have. Your embassy is the busiest in the world.

Anyone with a cc receive an actual letter from Nvc? I didnt think about it much but now i realize the details are a little bit different from the cc email. Now got me thinking

did you call and get CC or just got letter? Do you have a question about the letter?
