I think you do, because that's how you register for the Loomis delivery of your completed visa when they send it back to you.

I did, anyway.

We have never received it. Can we call them and ask for the A#?

The 797 is your NOA1 letter, there's a slot for A number.

I don't know if everyone has it on there or not, I'm sorry; I used to have a green card when I was a kid and it seems they keep the same number, so maybe it's not assigned to everyone at that point.

on july

You don't need to get a new one until July then. So if your interview is before then, you will not need a new one.

It's in Step 1 of the Before Your Interview page (page 2) of the MTL Packet 4 instructions PDF that the appointment letter instructs you to read.

STEP 1: REGISTER FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLINE

Please visit https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/iv_

(Appointment letter says

How to Prepare for the Visa Interview

================================================================================

Upon receiving this letter, all eligible applicants must prepare for the visa interview by visiting our

website http://nvc.state.gov/interview and completing the following six steps before the interview date:

1. Carefully review this entire appointment letter.

2. Review the U.S. Embassy or Consulate interview instructions.

...I think they do it this way so they don't have to keep track of every consulate-specific instruction at NVC when they're doing appointment letters; they just tell you where else you need to look.)

If there's anything this whole thing has taught me, it's that no matter how awesome you think your reading comprehension is, you need to (in my case) print things out and read them again, and then read them one more time. I have constantly caught things on second and third read.

My P4 that was emailed also doesn't say anything about the https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/iv_services

The problem is that 2nd page is completely blank in the P4 pdf they emailed me. Is your page 2 page not blank? Can you scan or take a picture of the 2nd page of instructions (without personal info) and post here.

It's page 2 of the PDF that you are instructed to download from the NVC page that is *referenced* in your appointment letter.

I have cut and quoted exactly what it says, I can only assume that all appointment letters tell you to go to the NVC site and download instructions specific to your consulate, since there's one for every blessed consulate.

Your US Citizen sponsor will not have an Alien Number. If your sponsor was an LPR, they would have an Alien Number.

Yes. That I took to be a print-to-PDF anomaly. I don't know if that's the case, I just didn't think it looked like I ought to worry about it.

Ok so the new status after a 23rd Oct. CC and an email confirming the CC on the 30th oct., is we are put on a supervisor review. What does that even mean after a CC? We called, and of course could not get hold of a supervisor who could throw some light on what's happening. We had no checklists or anything at any point in the process. Anyone?

I have to admit this supervisor review business has me scratching my head. It seems the standard script reading at NVC is "Supervisor Review" or "We don;t have this and that document you must send it again". Like is there a troll in their office eating peoples documents. people delayed for months sending the same dang document 2 ,3 ,4 times. I'm not even at NVC and I am frustrated to all heck. I am sorry for you all. There is no excuse.

I don;t want to be president Just head of immigration well at least over USCIS and NVC and all embassies. Boy there would e some consistency I am telling you.

Sorry venting for my peeps here.
