How come you didn't get the interview scheduled did you call NVC as your case completed on Oct 23rd and you should be getting too.

I am really curious that what criteria does NVC take into consideration to schedule the interviews.

Tell me about it! Your guess is as good as mine. The only thing that makes sense to me is coin toss, can't imagine any heavy duty number crunching NVC engages in. Ha! I call everyday, some days thrice! Today though I am only going to call once.p, at the end of the day. That might do the trick.

Hahahaha Yeah its really funny I stopped calling and thinking that as I am in the F2A category and the IR1/CR1 will take the precedence over the F2A.

Finally interview but only for wife...I tried to expedite 2 completed cases 9/14 for (wife & child) and received email today that I will received email shortly for wife interview December 1...and received another email that child's case was approved for expedite....not sure what to do I would think they would schedule both cases or expedite both cases..

Call NVC and request to talk to a supervisor. Seems something is lost in the system or mismatched. They can easily match them up on same day. Just call.

how long does nvc take to send petitions to the embassy

Depends. Some petitions arrive 30 days prior to interview some days. You just have to watch your visa tracker. When t says READY it will be there.

Anyone have a tally of how many interviews got scheduled in the past couple of days? and which countries?

thanks for the spreadsheet link. it's late at night and i am tired but when i sort the list by "Interview Date Scheduled" there are some interviews at the top of the list that were scheduled in december 2015? :S back to the future... what am I missing?!

The spreadsheet is in Case Compete order of most recent. You can go to any row and click on the heading f that row and sort how you like.

And yes there are some people who have got interviews already with recent case complete. Always scroll to the last column to see if they are an expedite.

My Mom received her passport with the visa. The letter, that was in the package, said she has to pay $165 for the green card, either now or upon entering the US. I had no idea we have to pay something for the green card. Is that the same for all immigration visas and for all countries?

Honestly what I have heard from people who pay when they get her they get it faster. That's because the trigger to produce if you paid before you come is controlled by the CBP. I see people getting them faster than their SS in some cases. But green card production and arrival is all based on where you live also. It's your choice there is s temp green card already in your passport. So it really matters not when just doing it within a year.

Of course the sooner the better.
