thanks for the spreadsheet link. it's late at night and i am tired but when i sort the list by "Interview Date Scheduled" there are some interviews at the top of the list that were scheduled in december 2015? :S back to the future... what am I missing?!

I have a question about the medical, if my wife needs additional shots, will they be given to her at the medical or would she need to receive them before having her medical?

The vaccinations are included in the cost of the medical at SLEC. Gave my wife 2 shots and a waiver for the other. Its annotated on her visa that she has waiver for not getting all the vaccinations.

Does anyone know how long before the interview does NVC send out paperwork to Mumbai Consulate....

Also, is there a way to request same day/next day passport pickup at Mumbai Consulate?

I am so sorry to say that, dwheels, but I totally disagree with you and I would like to warn everybody here - BRING EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO THE INTERVIEW! Because you never know, what document from your NVC package will be lost.

I had a very upsetting experience during my Mom's interview, which I have described in my topic:

We got from 221 today. I was told I have to provide my w-2s and my 1040 for 2014. Thank God, by email, and thank God, they kept my mom's passport, saying, the visa will be send within 10 days upon receiving the docs.

Despite of what the p4 letter said and despite we got confirmed we didn't have to provide those for the interview by the nvc supervisor over the phone. For some reason, the embassy did not receive my financial docs from the nvc, though I did submit them, they were all in the same AoS package.

Lesson to learn: bring EVERYTHING to the interview, whether you sent it to the nvc or not. The weight of an extra paper doesn't hurt as much as the disappointment after the interview.

No I did say bring the AOS copy. What I was trying to do is stop people getting confused on you have to do it ALL over because they changed a form.

Every beneficiary should always have the original since only copies are submitted and yes you should have the entire AOS package with you at interview.

Every embassy is different and what many people fail to tell when they say they got 221g for their AOS is many of these people are border line at guidelines or frankly didn't meet guidelines of either current or previous year. You will see many times on VJ those who say ONLY current income matters. So not true. Current and previous matter NVC could care less what you made in 2014. The CO does.

So I am just trying to shed light on some of the "Why did NVC approve us and the CO denied us". The NVC approves of nothing they are merely an intake document facility. They accept what we submit and make sure everything is there and in order. The CO has final say.

awesome! do i have to wait for the supervisor review to be over to ask? the only proof i have of their mistake is the email they send when they recieve documents, they didnt seem to have anything on their end when i called or they didnt want to admit they made a mistake.

That I do not know. I would call while waiting and merely imply will you begetting an expedite since it was their error for the delay.

My Mom received her passport with the visa. The letter, that was in the package, said she has to pay $165 for the green card, either now or upon entering the US. I had no idea we have to pay something for the green card. Is that the same for all immigration visas and for all countries?

Yes, this is the last fee you pay, and is same for all countries. It is advisable to pay it before you enter the US.
