I read on the Consulate Interview Forum that when going to the interview, your AOS has to be signed in Blue ink by the petitioner. I looked at mine and my souse signed it in Black Ink. Should we re-print it and sign it in blue. Does anyone know if that would be an issue ?

If you're doing the CR/IR-1, you would have already submitted your AOS to NVC. So if they approved it and the petitioner's financial status hasn't changed, you don't need to bring another AOS.

Guys check your AOS formsi-864EZ. What date does it say at the top right corner, Expires 03/03/2015 ? I just found out the one on line says Expires 07/31/2017.

Now the question is, since NVC has existing form on file, which I will bring to the interview -

Do I print the newest version and bring it to the interview or leave it as is ?

OR

should we fill out the newest version and tell NVC to update our file and bring the original to the interview ?

There are new AOS forms online but if you submitted your AOS before the new ones were available, it's the old ones that are valid.

Met online October 2010

My husband also passed his medical today. As healthy as a bull, like we say here. But he was given 2 additional shots, though over the phone he was told what vaccinations he needed and he provided that info from his doctor. Charged $55 extra for those shots.

All those guys want is to rip you off...

Guys, I want to know if we will need the original I-864EZ form with the petitioner's signature or just a scanned copy of the original with his signature?

Also do I need his original tax transcripts? Or the copies would do? We sent originals of both to the NVC.

Does this mean my husband can't just email me the scanned copy of the AOS and will need to print and sign and physically ship it to me for the interview? (I am the beneficiaryTo be on the safe side I gave my wife an original I-864 EZ form, I also sent the original tax transcripts to her.

This is what the Embassy sent us in the packet 4 checklist:

____ Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) for each applicant from the petitioner. Affidavits of Support

must be original signed versions; copies of signatures are not acceptable. The sponsor must also provide

the most recent tax return (Form 1040, and the most recent W2 wage statement if the return is a joint

return). If you are submitting documents from a “Joint Sponsor”, you will also need to provide a

photocopy of the biographic page of their passport, Certificate of Naturalization or both sides of their

Alien Registration (Green) Card. Your sponsor(s) may have submitted these documents to the National

Visa Center prior to your interview, but you may wish to bring copies in case any documents are missing.

To be on the safe said I sent an original of the I-864 EZ, the 1040, W2, and original tax transcripts (even though they didn't ask for that). The NVC should send what was sent to them but they have lost items before so to be on the safe I sent these.

Maybe someone who will go to your Embassy can share if their packet 4 had something different.

Stop the confusion and stress over the Affidavit of Support

All you have to do is go to uscis.gov and check what forms you can submit. Notice SUBMIT. You have already did that all you are have Case Complete.

All of you have already submitted your I-864/I-864ez forms they were accepted. It is well.

The only people who need to take updated forms to interview are those with changes. Of course you don't have to submit new data just because the form changed.

For your peace of mind if you don;t believe all anyone has to do is follow your countries threads and interview reviews. Have any of you read yet where the embassy is demanding updated forms from people at interview. NO. This is nothing anyone needs to worry about.

Not too many people are asked for AOS package. But the Beneficiary should always have originals of everything submitted. That's just standard practice for everyone regardless of embassy. Better to have and not need. And no scan won;t do.

Everyone's Beneficiary should have a copy of everything submitted at

1. USCIS

2. NVC

If you're doing the CR/IR-1, you would have already submitted your AOS to NVC. So if they approved it and the petitioner's financial status hasn't changed, you don't need to bring another AOS.

There are new AOS forms online but if you submitted your AOS before the new ones were available, it's the old ones that are valid.

Thank you for passing on the information.

One thing also everyone needs to realize and understand is every embassy have standard templates of email verbiage (packet 3 and 4). They do not tailor make emails to every single situation. There are people as we have seen here who file through NVC and request an expedite and everything than is done through embassy so much of what the embassy sens as what they need o see is for them.

Some here have DCF at their Consulate/Embassy so everything is filed through them.

What I am trying to tell everyone is. You filed your AOS at embassy. Yes your beneficiary needs all your originals at interview. AOS EVERYHING originals. So please provide that just i case.

The only people who need to take updated forms to interview are those with changes. Of course you don't have to submit new data just because the form changed.

I am so sorry to say that, dwheels, but I totally disagree with you and I would like to warn everybody here - BRING EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO THE INTERVIEW! Because you never know, what document from your NVC package will be lost.

I had a very upsetting experience during my Mom's interview, which I have described in my topic:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/571683-ir-5-interview/

We got from 221 today. I was told I have to provide my w-2s and my 1040 for 2014. Thank God, by email, and thank God, they kept my mom's passport, saying, the visa will be send within 10 days upon receiving the docs.

Despite of what the p4 letter said and despite we got confirmed we didn't have to provide those for the interview by the nvc supervisor over the phone. For some reason, the embassy did not receive my financial docs from the nvc, though I did submit them, they were all in the same AoS package.

Lesson to learn: bring EVERYTHING to the interview, whether you sent it to the nvc or not. The weight of an extra paper doesn't hurt as much as the disappointment after the interview.

Black Ink is what it should be. Have not read anyone required to use blue ink. So no you should not redo.

I think people keep saying blue ink, because, considering that most people fill out the form on the computer and print, how would an IO be able to distinguish between an original blank ink signature from a printed/copied version?
