ughhh! I have a load of school work to get done and can't concentrate because of that blessed interview date. Wait times right now to get a medical exam done in Cuba is 8 weeks; and then another 2 weeks to get the results back. And they will not see you without that appointment letter. So frustrating!!! Come on now NVC

Hi all,

We got approved last Friday! We had to wait a lot because the embassy in Rio was not very organized, but the interview itself was very simple. They only asked four questions:

1. When and how I met my husband

2. What I do for a living

3. What my husband does for a living

4. If I have ever met his family

My husband and daughter came to the interview with me - but the CO barely looked at him. Honestly, it felt like the decision was already made and he just asked those questions for the sake of it.

Dwheels, Sukie, you are both amazing on this thread. I would have never done so well without following this forum and your advice.

I was just wondering why does the spreadsheet doesn't have priority date on it? or is that I am just blind???

Because Priority date has nothing to do with this. My spreadsheet tracks waiting from Case Complete to Interview.

WOW that's a very specific questioning. Did you talk about DC in your talks, IM's emails etc?

I know. We haven't talked much about DC. I've been in Gambia almost half of the last year. He even showed her my plane tickets. My husband said he was able to answer the questions.

I finally spoke to my husband on the phone and he said that he thinks that it was because he didn't have the all of the medical so they were disappointed about that. I know when I was calling the Embassy about the interview and status updates that's the only thing they seemed concerned about on the phone because Dr Hassan is having everyone come about 2-3 weeks back for the results, which is after the interview for most. I just plan to turn in more (photos and phone records) documentation and my husband is going back for the final medical and turn it in to the embassy.

Nope...I am not even going to bother calling anymore...I am tired of getting the same answer..So I am just going to wait until I get the email or maybe I'll call if I get impatient....lol

Omg....I am on cloud 9 right now....just called NVC....guess what ...interview scheduled for December 29th.... the day I give up on NVC is the day they decide to make me super duper happy....I didn't even want to call but I figured what's there to lose and I got my good news.....finally I can start the countdown...can't believe I will be with my husband in 2 months.....
