Hi all,

We got approved last Friday! We had to wait a lot because the embassy in Rio was not very organized, but the interview itself was very simple. They only asked four questions:

1. When and how I met my husband

2. What I do for a living

3. What my husband does for a living

4. If I have ever met his family

My husband and daughter came to the interview with me - but the CO barely looked at him. Honestly, it felt like the decision was already made and he just asked those questions for the sake of it.

Dwheels, Sukie, you are both amazing on this thread. I would have never done so well without following this forum and your advice.

Have you been calling daily since nov 1st? Or today was the first call?

I have a case complete finally, my scan date was 08th Oct and today I saw the 3 N/A which got me excited

To confirm if its a case complete I called NVC and the rep told me that you have got a case complete today and now give sometime for the interview to be scheduled

So it's been about 52 days since CC and I have little hope for an interview in early Dec. We'd like to celebrate our son's 2nd birthday and Xmas together. Does anybody know, in case I should get an interview in Dec, how easy it would be to reschedule it to a later date in January?

It's about time my child sees his father again.

Scheduling for a later date is never an issue. All you have to do is ask to reschedule to earlier date. No there is no guarantee it will be in January but it could be.

Is anyone here expecting interview from the Embassy in port au prince? My case complete date is november 5, 2015. The csr said that I am in line for interview. I really need a December interview.

Congratulations. Welcome to the group. The last person from Haiti had CC 10/2 and they got a December date. All you can do is wait.

I was just wondering why does the spreadsheet doesn't have priority date on it? or is that I am just blind???

Hello everyone, my husband had his interview today and got put on AP. He has to go back for his vaccinations on Nov 25th and they also want more proof of our relationship. He showed them about 5-10 photos, marriage certificate, only 1 viber conversation (my husband didn't print out all of our conversations. Only 1 from viber....sigh) He's going to drop off more proof when he turns in the medical. When we called to confirm before the appointment he was told to take the printout of the email. he showed it and He says then they gave him a hard time even getting into the embassy. Then, lady asked tons of questions during the interview, such as

1) where do i live

2) where do my parents live

3) do i have brothers and sisters? if so, how many?

4) where do they all work?

5) what do i tell my husband about washington, dc

6) and more about our relationship. don't have those yet to tell

WOW that's a very specific questioning. Did you talk about DC in your talks, IM's emails etc?

That is very good to hear. You got your interview date pretty soon after case complete.

Looks like the Embassy in DR is moving pretty quickly.
