Can we punch holes and file documents to take with us to the interview. I mean, is it ok to punch holes in the documents..

No their originals right you make them null in void. Put in a folder no hole punching.

Interview timeline: CC 09/18, went on further review, case complete again, review then denied and still no news

I doubt t because its just not scheduling time. The problem is we on VJ expect certain times. Scheduling use to be 2d week of the month. Then they went to last week to last few days of the month. Than some embassies started 2 rounds for the month. It's hard to gauge. There have been many December interviews scheduled. So either they are done. Which wouldn't be a surprise since December is getting into the holiday months and many CO's are going to be going hoe and elsewhere so short of staff and all.

Many countries don't even have DV Lottery so that's not even a factor. Sure every embassy has a certain amount of slots they alot for each visa type.

what is the role of a supervisor?

a supervisor also reviews our record. what does it mean?

Supervisors at NV has final authority to get paperwork through. Some cases that need their review (not all cases do) they review There aren't may of them so it gets kicked up to them for further look.

I know supervisors may have to call investigate look deeper into situations. Like the validity of a document. Is this a real marriage certificate, etc.

After 14 months in the visa process and an eight month battle with NVC, we finally got case complete on November 4th. So happy I cried for 15 minutes and have been walking around with a big grin on my face ever since.

Dwheels, AWESOME job with this thread and the tracking sheet and tool.

Welcome to the group. Congratulations on the CC. And thank you so much. I try I am here to serve you all. Now if NVC would just let me do the scheduling. Sorry but IR1CR1 would e top priority.

Can I rely on Visa Application Status at CEAC website? Does it happen, that it still shows "At NVC", while the case has already been received by the embassy?

Why not just email the embassy and find out. If its not their they will tell you.

Hello guys we received this email today morning is that case completed confirmation email????? The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing

of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner

and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment

until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of

the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at

the following

Supervisor review is a lottery. There's a few of us on here who were stuck at supervisor review for months, while others get case complete within weeks. I guess it all depends what supervisor you get... Unfortunately, there's not much you can do until the 42 days are up. If it takes longer than that, get your Senator involved. Good luck.

Well that sounds awesome...not.

I was told that our case was completed! 3 times when I called the NVC. Then when I called them again to see if we had an Interview date, the lady told me, that she would put our case on supervisor review and that it would take up to 42 days...

Now I don't want to call the NVC because I am honestly sick and tired of hearing the same all over again. It's frustrating.

Dwheels they are not originals, I am talking about photocopies that I have to take with me to the interview. All my originals were sent to NVC.

So, can I punch holes in photocopies I may have to submit on my interview day?
