Dwheels our interview date has changed to Dec 4th

ok guys. Interview was on Tuesday. CO was nice and polite. She conducted the interview in English, after asking us if our preference was English or Spanish. Most of the questions were asked to my husband (mostly about his ex, his divorce, and the exact date she moved out of his house) then we were given a yellow 221g for both cases. Mine says Section 221 g. prohibits the issuance of a visa to any person whose documents do not fulfill law requirements. AP. We will contact you. And my son's says Section 221 g. prohibits the issuance of a visa to any person whose documents do not fulfill law requirements documents needed, original divorce certificate from petitioner.

Truth to be told, we only had one original copy of his divorce decree. Beginners mistake, I acknowledge.

Fortunately, we had an original copy of it at home and we sent it wednesday, we were told it was gonna be delivered to Embassy today.

Still... I am worried. CO never said approved, although she did not say denied. She just said, we will contact you through email.

Well don't be worried give them what they need and soon you will hear Approved. They kept your passports correct?

OK all...hubby got home and we had a chance to talk about the Interview. Hubby and daughter arrived at the consulate around 9:20 for his 9:30 Interview. He went inside and got his number. A female CO was nice enough to see him with a sleeping5 year old, ask him what number he had and clearly helped to move him up in queue. He went to the first window where he spent about 5 minutes handing over original birth cert for his daughter, police certificate and passports. He was told to sit down and listen for his name. He was called not too long after than to a different window where he was shown a pic of me (the passport sized pot that was sent in the with G-325A) and asked if that was his wife. He said YES and the interview began...She said "tell me about your wife"

1. When and how did you meet your wife?

2. How old were you?

3. How old is your wife's daughter and what is her name?

4. How old is your daughter? (the CO found it cute that both our girls are 5)

5. Has your wife ever been married? (she insisted yes even though the answer is no, but when he held firm on the no she reviewed the paperwork and apologized to him)

6. Have you ever travelled outside the country? she asked about trips he took to England as well as his many trips to the US and asked if he had ever overstayed on any of the trips.

7. Did you get married on your last trip to the US?

8. What happened to the relationship between you and your daughters mother?

He says the interview was more of a conversation rather than a Q&A session. He says both COs were pleasant and nice. She told him he would received his passport in 2 weeks.. She did not ask for any of the evidence he brought in. He spent less than 2 hours in the embassy.

I'm sorry they're making you wait. I hope it's done quickly!

Did your p4 letter ask for original divorce documents?

Our letter didn't list that, so I didn't mail my originals to my husband to add to his interview package. Now I'm worried.

All documents submitted is suppose to be originals at the interview. Sure some CO's don't ask but especially those documents that have seals and stamps and such. You should have all originals in your carry on to interview.

P4 would not mention it because NVC has already stated to send them copies and bring originals to interview. Even documents submitted to USCIS.

OMG...I had the same thought this morning....I am really hoping to get scheduled this week.....Please NVC, start scheduling....can't wait anymore

Thank you everyonne and also this forum. It was a long journey so without the support from the members of this forum, It would have been very difficult. I got my passport back after the VISA approval from Mumbai, India embassy.

Patience is the key. This is what I learnt from this journey..................

Wishing you all the best. Be patient when things are going slow. When the time comes it goes much faster than you ever imagined........ I have seen this from many members in this forum. The member population is not even 2% of the overall cases. Try to submit more documentation than required. Try to bring more documentation than required for the interview. Take all the originals and one copy of each to the interview. Be organized so that it will save time. Review several times before submitting anything either online or thru mail. Any mistake from our end will add up the waiting time as we are already waiting in every step of the process. Be ready with the necessary documentation before it requires so that it will not delay anything from our end. Please raise the questions if you have any to this forum. You will get quick responses from the members.

And yes people need to realize there is a big old world out there and the majority aren't even on VJ. Like they did in Jordan added 100 slots on one day for IR1/CR1 Visas. Imagine that there were actually 100 cases in a day. We have maybe 10 active cases for Jordan at any given time. So that shows how busy things are and the reality of it all.

I see people going to Vancouver consulate for Interviews and people to Montreal. I always wondered why I was assigned MTL consulate, and not Vancouver (since I live here)

Only Montreal does IR1/CR1 Visa interviews is why. Many countries have this. Nigeria Embassy in Abuja does visitor Visas, But the Cosulate in Lagos is where all the K1, and R1CR1 interviews take place.

All thanks go to God n dis forum #dwheels You v bn of a great help.. Complete my interveiw few mins ago n it was so smooth..was just asked 1. How I meet my husband. 2. Who petitioned for him 3. What type of wedding did we do 4. What year did we get married 5. Which city and what he does for a living 6. What year he first got to the U.S. and he asked for pics from our wedding. N Dts all.. He never asked for any evidence of communication n we didn't submit any.it can only be God. Will write take time an write on the interview reviews..am so excited..finally it's over...

I received a medical expedite so i've been dealing directly with the Embassy. Dakar is definitely a rough embassy. My husband is scheduled to interview on Nov 10th and went for his medical. The embassy P3/P4 package says to have the medical examination 5 working days before the interview date. However, his doctor is advising everyone to come back 2.5 - 3 weeks from your initial doctor visit no matter when your interview is for the vaccinations.

Anyone else experience a delay between the interview and immunizations? If so, How long should I expect for it to take for him to have his visa in hand if everything goes ok?

It's too late for us for but i'm wondering if it's better to have the immunizations elsewhere then bring the records to the embassy doctor for proof of the immunizations. Just a thought.

You would have to check with the medical there. Many countries will not accept other doctors notes and vaccines. And will its better to just have it done by the approved medical panel per embassy.

And the doctors advice of 2 to 3 weeks is always best and what I have always recommended This just days before interview is ever wise. But too late for that.

All the bet tomorrow can't wait to hear the good news.

Prayers needed...My mother-in-law just suffered a stroke this morning. My husband requested an expedite on my interview because of this emergency. Hopefully NVC will give us favorable answers.

I hope somebody will report that they got scheduled today! Already been 9 days with no reports of scheduling (except for CallMeShams, which I believe was expedited).

I was wondering, dwheels, is it possible that NVC has actually been internally scheduling over the 9 days, but only internally and not yet entered into the system? I believe the IR1/CR1 interviews have their own quotas per each embassy for each month, so while each day passes all other immigrant & nonimmigrant category interviews will fill up the available hours, I hope that this doesn't push our interviews to a further date?

I keep going through the spreadsheet over and over and don't see any 9 days stretches of no scheduling

Yes in fact that's how scheduling goes. Each embassy sends in 2 to 3 months of slots only the previous month is announced. So Even January is done.

I received my husband's interview date for November 18th!

I noticed as I was filling in my timeline, it is exactly 8 months from my NOA1. That is so amazing!

But now I can breathe a little bit as my husband travels to the country of Senegal to get his medical done and prep for the interview.
