No one to answer me???

I asked for a Supervisor as my case was getting no where and some of my documents were lost at NVC and one of my police certificate was Checklisted but I was never told specifically what is the issue. A supervisor can pull up your case and review it and find out why it's not moving along. The clerks make mistakes and miss stuff so the Supervisor can go and either hep or ask questions. I had somehow presumed the the clerks knew what they are doing but obiously I found out quite the opposite, The applicant has to watch over every detail like a hawk and call write escalate etc NVC for answers.

DWheels, can you please add me to the spreadsheet as well? Thanks!

NVC Scan Date - 9/25

CC - 10/20

Interview scheduled for - 12/23

What country are you in ?

I believe it's totally fine.

Punching holes is so Old School. So yourself a favor and put your documets copies originals in plastic sheet protectors and put them in a binder. You'll feel better.

Hihi, congrats!!! Happy for you that you guys finally got your CC :)

May I ask what was your scan date, please? And if you don't mind telling us what issues did you guys encounter at the NVC stage?

Thanks. :)

Our original scan date was May 18th. On June 18th, we received two checklists. One was for a new i-864, where we basically needed to put a zero in a box. -_- We sent that in and got a checklist scan date of June 29th. But because we also got a checklist for not having submitted the DS-260, which I had done on May 1st, we called NVC to ask what that was about. The NVC rep put us on supervisor review on June 25th and that's when our hell began. We were on supervisor review until September 18th, so for about three months. Day 80 of supervisor review is when we contacted our Senator and his team did a request on our behalf. On September 23rd, our case was moved from that supervisor to the "Senator review team" and 42 days after that, we got case complete.

NVC basically had all our documents for 129 days, or four months and a week, before they completed our case. Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing why our case got held up for so long, since they had all the documents and during those 129 days, we never received a new checklist saying something was missing. It just took them 129 days to review our case, so that was caused by either prejudice or gross incompetence.

Oh waw! That's just insane! I'm sorry to hear that you guys had to go through that but i'm glad that eventually you're done with NVC.

I'm also a bit scared cause we got a stupid checklist due to them losing some of our documents. I just don't wanna be stuck at NVC stage! I've been reading a lot of people's problems with them :/

Anyways, thank you for sharing that and good luck with the interview! I know it will be fine! :)

Yeah, I've seen a bunch of people going through issues with NVC loosing their documents. I've also come across a few people whose cases just got stuck at NVC for no apparent reason, like my husband and I got.

I hope your checklist gets reviewed quickly.

Ooh thank you

Supervisor review means that a supervisor requests your case and will review it instead of a "normal reviewer". It usually happens when your case hasn't been reviewed within the usual time frame.

Supervisor review is a lottery. If you're lucky, you'll get reviewed within the given 42 days, if you're unlucky, you can be stuck on supervisor review for months.

Ooh thank you

When they enter your file into the DHL system, your status on CEAC will change to "In Transit". Not before. Since everything is bar-coded, your status changes in the system automatically when they scan your file into the DHL system.

So until you see "In Transit" on the CEAC site, your file will not be in the DHL system.

My case was reopened for "further administrative processing". Is that the same as supervisor review? My husband wrote his senator a month ago and now they've requested we allow them access. What do you think? Our CC is 09/18. Would it speed te process up or just cause more delays if the senator gets involved at this stage?

The UK seemed so on top of scheduling interviews, I've already done my medical, and now regret it.

I've heard that from a few others here on VJ but I'm not really familiar with the process. It's different from supervisor review though.

When your Senator gets involved, your case is moved to a specific team dealing with Senator requests. They take up to 42 days to complete the Senator request, after which you can either get case complete or a checklist or just an explanation as to why your case is still pending. Not sure if your Senator would help or hinder in your case, since it's under further administrative processing. It says on NVC's website that administrative processing takes about 60 days.

So you got cc on September 18th, when did they reopen your case for further administrative processing? Did they tell you why or how did you find out?

I called enquiring about news of interviews as other VJers interviewing in the UK with CC dates after mine already had dates.

And during one of these calls that's what an operator told me. Reopened for further administrative processing. I called again to ask for an explanation a week later, and wasn't given one. The second operator said it could mean putting my file in another envelop and taking it to another office. Reassured me the case can't et lost because it's locked in a special building (?!?!?!).

When I called again the following week (now two weeks ago) I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor then said that they are waiting for the embassy in London to give them dates, and said she had no idea what the operator meant by telling me the above (although two operators told me on separate occasions) and that my CC is definitely 09/18.
