Every country is different some send medical directly to embassy. Some you have to pick up in the allotted time. I would go to the embassy page or call your doctors doing the medical to find out.

I received a medical expedite so i've been dealing directly with the Embassy. Dakar is definitely a rough embassy. My husband is scheduled to interview on Nov 10th and went for his medical. The embassy P3/P4 package says to have the medical examination 5 working days before the interview date. However, his doctor is advising everyone to come back 2.5 - 3 weeks from your initial doctor visit no matter when your interview is for the vaccinations.

Anyone else experience a delay between the interview and immunizations? If so, How long should I expect for it to take for him to have his visa in hand if everything goes ok?

It's too late for us for but i'm wondering if it's better to have the immunizations elsewhere then bring the records to the embassy doctor for proof of the immunizations. Just a thought.

Thank you everyonne and also this forum. It was a long journey so without the support from the members of this forum, It would have been very difficult. I got my passport back after the VISA approval from Mumbai, India embassy.

Patience is the key. This is what I learnt from this journey..................

Wishing you all the best. Be patient when things are going slow. When the time comes it goes much faster than you ever imagined........ I have seen this from many members in this forum. The member population is not even 2% of the overall cases. Try to submit more documentation than required. Try to bring more documentation than required for the interview. Take all the originals and one copy of each to the interview. Be organized so that it will save time. Review several times before submitting anything either online or thru mail. Any mistake from our end will add up the waiting time as we are already waiting in every step of the process. Be ready with the necessary documentation before it requires so that it will not delay anything from our end. Please raise the questions if you have any to this forum. You will get quick responses from the members.

This is what I learnt............

Congrats :)

For Mumbai Embassy ...did they ask for originals documents of the petitioner? I have it for the applicant, not sure if we need any original documents of the petitioner.

Thank you.

For Mumbai Embassy ...did they ask for originals documents of the petitioner? I have it for the applicant, not sure if we need any original documents of the petitioner.

Thank you.

They asked the tax returns. I mentioned I don't have as the petitioner started working only this year. I have given them the joint sponsor's one. But they wanted the petitioner. Then I gave the original of the petitioner's employment letter. They kept that original with them alongwith Police clearance.

It's always better to carry every original of the petitioner and the applicant for the interview. You have to carry all the originals of the documentation that you have submitted to NVC. NVC took the copies with the intention that you will show the originals at the interview. It's understood. They won't mention that in the interview letteer but you need to carry to save time. You have to carry originals of Tax Returns, Tax Transcripts(if not submitted to NVC), W-2's, AOS, Naturalization certificate, Employment letter, pay checks, etc. of the petitioner. Tecchnically speaking whatever copies you submitted to NVC you need to carry originals. For example I did not mention Divorce, Court records as I don't have. Someone might provide copies of those to NVC then you need to carry originals of those too...........

Please take more documentation than not taking. You never know what they will ask. Please carry all originals..........with one copy of each original.

As per my knowledge you need to have the petitioner original W2 and IRS tax transcripts and also whatever they mentioned in the interview letter too, please confirm with someone else too.

I was wondering about the original W2. The sponsor's W2 is printed from the website of the employer (so there isn't an original mailed version). Is that a problem?

I have a similar question.I don't have a W2 because I just started working in the USA this year. Both my pay stubs and employment letter are printouts from PDFs...like most everything these days. I have assumed that these will be okay for my wife to take, and don't really know how I could get anything else.

This is what I learned from the Consulate during my interview yesterday. On my doc list in the interview schedule letter (p4), I had a Y code ("The NVC sent this form or document to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate") next to FINANCIAL EVIDENCE. The office told me that it meant they received from NVC, and I didn't need to bring it again. If I had J code ("The NVC only received a photocopy of the document. You must present the original document at the time of your interview") next to it, then I would be required to bring the original). And, as far as I know, downloaded W-2s are originals.

I think the employer should have the original W2 and by any chance if the employer does not have the original W2 then the only option is you need to get the screen shot of the site where you are downloading the W2 so that you can explain that the W2 was downloaded from the employer website.

Oh ya that makes sense. We'll go dig more to see if the original mailed copy is somewhere available.

I'm sorry they're making you wait. I hope it's done quickly! Thanks. All I can do is pray we got approved and this is just a temporary set back.

Did your p4 letter ask for original divorce documents?

Our letter didn't list that, so I didn't mail my originals to my husband to add to his interview package. Now I'm worried. Actually, no. It appeared as sent by NVC, but CO asked for them, an original court copy for each file. I also got a letter to read with specific instructions from our embassy in Guatemala, and in there it did state all applicants being claimed by a step father or step mother should provide one, but as it showed as sent by NVC I did not worry and thought to take the extra copy just in case one was needed. I had read somewhere here in VJ how you must be prepared with extra copies just in case. I thought one would suffice, turns out it did not. I had a copy at home hubby sent over two years ago, I hope it will be enough, as it has the original copy stamp on it. I would say send it to him if you still have the time.

Oh boy, his interview is 12 days away. I didn't get originals in the first place because the court had no record of it, and would have to order a hand search through archives of paper files.

I'll pray for your mother-in-law and for your request to be approved.

I hope with the request, he included a letter from her physician stating the situation and why he or she thinks an expedite should be granted. Such a letter is the key to getting an approval.
