For EGYPT.

UNFORTUNATELY,

I've just finished a phone call with one of the decent representatives who told me that they are done with scheduling interviews for December.

This is caused by the overcrowdness & overload from the Yemeni & Syrian people.

Wait for January.

I'm planning to go back to Egypt to meet my family.

APPROVED!!!!

Just got done with my interview in Islamabad. Everything went well by grace of God :) Asked very few simple questions:

1. Is it first marriage for both of you? I said yes

2. What does your husband do?

3. Was it arranged or love?

4. When did he visit last time?

Didn't ask for any additional documents whatsoever...very smooth and quick process it was for me and my husband Alhamdulillah :)

02/02/2015 - NOA1 received, Nebraska Service Center

07/13/2015 - I-130 approved!!

07/20/2015 - USCIS sent case to NVC

NVC

07/24/2015 - NVC received

08/10/2015 - Case number assigned

08/13/2015 - Submitted DS-261

08/15/2015 - Paid AOS fee

09/01/2015 - Sent IV and AOS package

09/03/2015 - Scan date

09/09/2015 - Got DS-261 reviewed on call

09/10/2015 - IV bill available and paid the same day (currently "In Process")

09/11/2015 - IV bill status changed to "Paid"

09/15/2015 - Submitted DS - 260

09/28/2015 - Case Complete!!!

10/02/2015 - Received interview letter (P4) via e-mail (Interview date --- November 05, 2015)

Embassy

10/06/2015 - Medical done!

10/13/2015 - Received medical report

11/05/2015 - Interview (APPROVED!!!)

Dwheels, just an update....I received our DHL email stating that visa is available for pick up. Yupppppppeeeeeee!!!

Hi guys,

Im still waiting for my interview to be scheduled. We got CC on September, 15.

It's already 50 days. My husband calls NVC every other day but they don't comment anything. So frustrating

I'm going to call NVC tomorrow...we'll see if the rep I speak with says the same thing. I'm still holding out hope for an interview in December until November 14 (no special reason for this date, just that it's in the middle of the month). Most of the other embassies haven't fully released their December interview dates as of right now, so I'm praying that the rep just made something up because s/he didn't actually know why your interview hasn't been scheduled.

Interview at USEM completed. CEAC changed from Administrative Processing to Issued within 8 hours. In addition to the required docs, Gizelle said they ask for copy of my divorce decree and pictures. She have 18 pics of our wedding and of us from our time together last month. She was told approved but also there was 221g because she did not give the bar code receipt for how she wanted passport and visa delivered. She had no issues with her NBI with no aka.

Hey Shams,

I just saw u got a November date that is Wonderful news!!! They were probably like, she's onto us lets just process her fast lolol... But seriously enjoy the time with your loved one hopefully they will get visa in hand fast so they can be here for Christmas!!!

Thanks, that is funny about fast processing lol. I wonder about the workload there sometimes.

Hopefully we can get a favorable interview and hopefully no delays with issuing the visa.

Hey guys, I've got a question... My husband and I celebrated our 2nd year of marriage last August 9, but from all correspondences with NVC, our visa category is still listed as CR1. When would it change to IR1? After the interview, upon the issuance of visa? Or upon point of entry? I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this matter. Thank you all in advance!!

Hello, i received the email too this morning..it's dated nov 5 , my case was also completed on oct 29th..so i guess they just put the date when they send the email..nothing to worry about..officially case completed :)

Congrats both of you :joy: ...I know it's such a relief to get the email....to make it official...lol

I don't believe anything NVC says until I get written confirmation...lol

hey dwheels!!! took a break and went to Ethiopia to forget about this process haha! im back.. still no news! let the waiting continue -_-, celebrating one year at NVC this month! I should get an award or something? no? lol

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good
