I wanted the confirmation e-mail just for my records. It may not seem critical but that is still a piece of this journey I am missing.

Why it never came, even after requesting, who knows.

Agreed. I realize it's not necessary, but frankly I don't trust NVC as I've been told the wrong information on the phone more than once, and I've read enough horror stories from others that thought their cases were complete.

I wanted some tangible proof besides someone telling me something on the phone and a third N/A. Sorry that you haven't been able to get the same.

Yep, same here. I was told more than once CC on Oct 16. Later they started saying not "officially" complete, in the end, 10 days later, it was complete on 26th. But as we heard from others, people get interview scheduled even without receiving this email.

It seems like they haven't scheduled the next batch of interviews, hopefully this week we'll hear from more people about new interview dates.

I guess I wasn't paying attention. I wrote in the wrong forum. Anyways, Dwheels, I want to say thank you for all your support. My husband had his interview in Kingston, Jamaica on 10/6/15 and was placed on administrative processing. On 11/2 I decided to check the status of the case and saw ISSUED. My husband and I are so excited that this visa journey is over. Anyone knows how long would it take for us to have the visa in hand? I'm so ready to purchase his ticket.

I am not sure, I want to guess and say 5-10 business days.

wow...I'm not the only one..lol

Which also gives me hope but on the other hand...it's just frustrating.

But I'm calling the NVC now. So keep your fingers crossed for me, though my expectations are pretty low right now.

Glad to hear your friend got approved!

Holy cow NVC! What a cluster-eff for denying the existence of CC confirmation.

They are incredibly inconsistent.

At mrandmrsBRS,
My CC is the 18th Sept and I got an email 7 days later AND physical post 3 weeks after my CC to confirm my CC.
I then called to ask about my interview date and was told on the phone that my case had been reopened for further admin, but she was hesitant to confirm my CC. Same thing happened with my friend (which reminds me he had his interview today and got approved!!! And the embassy in London said he should get his passport back within 15 days, which is longer than usual, no?!)

I called a few times and all the operators said my case was open for further admin processing, but then also confirmed the CC.

A week later, I'm feeling really frazzled, I call and ask for a supervisor, who then denies my case was ever under further review. She also says she doesn't know what this administrative processing might have been and that my case has been complete since Sept 18th and that they are still waiting for the embassy to give me a date.

I called again, just in case, and another operator (I wrote down all their names) said CC 09/18.

Which leads me to suspect that there may have been some internal issues?

I've been sitting on my hands since September 25th waiting for an interview date... Still nothing. I quit calling. Very frustrating especially since people after my CC have interview dates for my embassy and I have nothing...

Very frustrating. I feel your pain.

And it's not like I'm not happy for all those people getting interviews scheduled and their visa but I mean we want to be with our spouses, too.

How many days before the interview can you have your medical examination? Does the doctor submit anything from the examination directly to the embassy even though your exam is ok? Or do you get everything you need that day to take with you to your interview?

Every country is different some send medical directly to embassy. Some you have to pick up in the allotted time. I would go to the embassy page or call your doctors doing the medical to find out.

Nobody is willing to take responsibility for scheduling, every time I ask NVC they say they're waiting on the embassy and my wife called the embassy and said its up to NVC... Not a very organized organization.
