Got the visa but the valid time of NOA2 had expired before the day of interview

Hi,

I got the visa , but that day I forget to ask the consul about the extension of my NOA 2.

In visajorney timeline, nearly can find cases that have the interview more than 4 months after noa2 date.

My NOA2 date is valid from june 5 - October 4.

The interview was on October 29, (14 days after the validity date of noa2)

Is this a issue .? I've read a case which had problem at POE in Montreal , only because of this.

Hi Don't know how much help I'll be but I'm in a similar situation as you.

My NOA2 expired Sept. 13th and my interview was Sept. 15th. I had no problems at the interview either, however I also forgot to ask to extend my NOA2 date.

From what I've asked around and heard, there really shouldn't be any problem at all with flying in because that depends on your visa's expiration date. If it really bothers you that much, you can always contact your embassy/consulate and ask them to fix this and extend your petition expiration date.

Thats what I'll be doing because I need to get a name changed on my visa (they messed up my petitioners name -.-) and I'll be asking if they can extend it right away as well.

It's so kind of you to answer. I'll try to call, but the embasy doesn't give explanation on things. I've tried in another situation. I've try to read as much posts as I can about this issues, and they say that there is no problem. Only a case from Montreal had difficult at POE because of this.

99% of the time there are no issues as most peoples petitions expire before their interview date, its only an issue when you get an incompetent CBP officer that shouldnt have the job in the first place.

Besides the few incompetent CPB officers, and needing a valid petition sometimes for interview, does anything at all after POE require a valid petition?
