Couldn't you just circumvent this issue by getting a prepaid CC? Theres no names on those anyway.

I guess my approach was getting my wife added as an authorized user on one of my credit card. When I visited her on one of my trips, I gave her the card for emergency use (she actually never used it once). The plan was if she really needed it, she would contact me and I would inform the credit card company to make it active in her home country. This is just one of many options that can be used to buy an airplane ticket or any emergencies.

Fortunately for us, I was able to go visit her during her interview and fly back to the US with her (including the her dog).

Asiana and Priceline. I wish I could afford to fly there and fly back with her. :)

Use EVA Airlines. Good prices and you can buy tickets using your credit card, her name on the ticket does not have to match the CC.

I used Delta for my wife, before I discovered EVA Air. Delta gives pretty decent prices, I paid $736.00 one way back in 2014.
