Acceptance of IRS RETURN TRANSCRIPTS at Manila Embassy

Congratulations to all those who received their visas! :D YOu all truly deserve them! :star:

FOr those who have been interviewed already by the Manila Embassy Consul/s, has anyone SHOWN the IRS RETURN Transcripts instead of the 1040 and W-2s?

Is Manila Embassy actually familiar with the IRS Return Trasncripts? (I know NVC does)

Or do they strictly require the most recent 1040?

My parents (IR5) will be interviewed this April.

Parents need to be petitioned separately, so from the beginning they required me to submit everything in doubles------forms, I-130, I-130 payment, separate I-864, DS230 forms, payments, (except for the I-864 PAYMENT-----1 payment only for both parents).

So I was not planning to send any original 1040s/ W2s.

The Manila Embassy website says, FAXED copies are acceptable. So what's the difference betwee a FAXED copy and a XEROX copy of 1044????

I only have 1 original 1040 and W2.

I mean, why would they ask for the original?

Anyway, this is a long one, but I am very curious if the consuls in Manila are very familiar with the IRS transcripts.

Because the NVC accepted my Return Transcripts. But of course, even if the DOS/NVC sets the rules, some embassies can be laidback/uninformed.

I know, because I underwent the same thing, 5-6 years ago when I was applying for an emplyment-based green-card for nurses.

You wouldn't believe how some embassy/St, Luke's staff members are UNINFORMED or not updated.

Thanks so much for all your help.

Be blessed. And to those who got their visas, welcome to the land of milk and honey.......GOD's promised land.....

Thanks Roy/Yazi.

Apparently the 2006 IRS return transcripts would not be available till June 2007 (according to the operator).

So I guess, I have to bring certified copies of the 1040/W-2.

Thanks again for the advice. I very much appreciate! :star:

Thank you, flatfish!

You are right!

I was able to request the 2006 Transcripts via automated machine.

It wouldn't allow me last week because I just filed 2 weeks ago.

Thanks Roy/Yazi.
