interview approved but request for original marriage certificated

HI, my daugter had her interview on october 26th, my husband filed for her..... but they requested for our original marriage cirtificate, we sent it on october 29th, anf it showes that it was dilivered and signed on october 30th, has any one had this problem and how long will it take for her to get back her passport? i booked her flight for nov 15th and today is october 31st. i am jst worried she wont get it back in time.

I a bit confused as my lawyer said they do not need the original for marriage certificate

hi Kalia, yes, that the reason we sent a copy when we sent in her paper work, but at the interview the requested for the original

when my husband did my paper work they never gave back my originals, now they took my last orignal marriage cirtificate for my daughter's paper work, and am left with noting now.

You need to get some more that's how this thing is. How was her interview tho? How old is your daughter?

When dealing with USCIS iys best to have at least 3 originals from day one

only a photocopy is needed with petition at at NVC (unless they request original)

Parent/petitioner keep an original & beneficiary has one for interview, an original

marriage cert is always needed at Kingston Embassy . I suggest 3 Mcerts to prevent

delays when these items are mislaid by USCIS YOU must be prepared to produce another

it just how it works, visas get issued from a day or two up to 90 days...no one can say

when, usually its sooner rather than later.

Did u get ur interview letter? What they ask for that's what u suppose to take. An someone told me Eventhou they say not to take original Margie certificate etc... U should take it an all the evidents to embassy

i have seen ppl bringing updated AOS because the previous version is expired. It was not requested on our Interview letter but I still did an updated one just to be safe. I'm really not trying to have any delays so the worse that could happen is that they do not need it.
