We both signed the same letter of intent dated the same day for the initial I-129F and did not get an RFE. Then we both signed the same letter of intent for the I-134 but dated a few days apart because I sent the I-134 package with FedEx, and got no RFE and no 221G.

Is it true you will get an RFE if you both sign one letter of intent to marry?

Not necessarily.

We both signed a joint letter of intent to marry and were approved with no RFEs.

Ours was about two weeks but this was before covid. I would check with those who have similar timelines. What was the RFE for?

My RFE was for proof of meeting within 2 years. I had sent many photos of us together but I suppose it wasn't enough proof of being in the 2 year time frame. So sent itineraries for flights and passport stamps indicating we have entered countries at the same time together. They also asked for 2 passport photos of myself. I sent an inquiry today.

Well after 14 months we got an update... says RFE was sent to us on Sept 8th and waiting for it to arrive..

Do I have much to worry about? How much will this delay the next step and does it decrease chances of success??? I'm Canadian, she's in US and it's a pretty obviously real relationship.. just stressful and depressing.

I honestly think it's likely that we didn't submit the full divorce degree for her previous marriage it's about 32 pages and we did the front and back pages thinking it was enough but upon reading stuff I think maybe that was the issue... Hopefully whatever it is. Is an easy fix..

First time I've been truly scared and worried for our future, just didn't expect this and makes me really stressed.

Thanks for any info.. wish I could know what it was.. she will keep checking mailbox.

Good luck! I really can't offer any advice though. If you think that that is what they will ask for then, try to collect it just in case. Keep your spirits high! We just applied for the visa and have an extremely long time to wait sadly.

They want every page on the divorce papers. I honestly would just go to the clerks office and get a copy with an official stamp done by them and send it in once your RFE arrives. The time line may be longer than normal. I would check recent timelines similar to yours to get an idea!
