I received my RFE in the mail today, and apparently the USCIS needs a CERTIFIED copy of court records regarding a minor offense I had in 1992.  I sent in all documents including a court disposition, but apparently they need a FINAL disposition that is certified along with all certified police reports.  I sent in 16 pages of this information but apparently it was not enough, and it was not certified.  I believe I need to call the circuit clerk and request this, which will probably take a week to get to me, and then another few days to get to the USCIS.  Hopefully this will be a quick fix and things can progress in a hurry.  Any thoughts out there?

I'm so sorry that you received this RFE but SO thankful you posted because I just realized that I didn't send in any records on a minor offense just after I turned eighteen (1998). I need to get the records from Reno, NV so I'll be ordering those immediately (before I get an RFE on my Aug 11th filing)!! Ugh!!

Hi all, if I suspect there will be an RFE because I forgot to send certified court records and disposition (from a little party arrest at 18yrs old) should i send in the additional ppwk now OR wait to see if they catch the error? I combed through the instructions and my packet a dozen times and can't believe that I missed this!!!!

Yes, fully disclosed but missed the requirement to provide a certified copy of record and disposition. I am hopeful that they'll deem it not necessary (based on the minor charge and age) but have ordered the copies from that state on expedite to have just in case of an RFE. Thank you for the kind advise as always. You're my hero!!

@skube50 Did you track down your record to get a certified copy? I had to call several agencies today but finally located my records and they'll accept email request to expedite certified copies. You are seriously a lifesaver and I hope you get yours ASAP!! Oh.... what was your filing date????

@IndiaAnnie,  I was able to talk with the circuit court and they are sending a certified disposition, which is what the RFE  is requesting.  It should be here soon and I'll get it off the the USCIS immediately after.  My NOA1 was July 20 2017 and I was fully expecting an NOA2 any day, but instead on Jan 30 I received the RFE.  I'm thankful that it is easy enough to get taken care of .  I would definitely not send in your info unless  you receive an RFE, and hopefully you don't.  I'm happy to help and wish you luck in your journey.

Hi :) I don't know if this is a stupid question or if this is even the right place to ask this question, but here goes...

I was going back through my i129f and i came across one tiny stupid little mistake...we filled out the biographic information about myself (the beneficiary) instead of my fiance! so annoying!!

Is this something that the officers would overlook because they will be able to tell my fiance's biographic information roughly from the pictures we sent in, or do you think we will definitely get an RFE to correct this mistake?

Also, if we do get an RFE how long will it take to get the NOA2 after we send it back in?

Just wanted to let everyone know that somehow we didn't get an RFE for this!! I guess maybe the officer realized it was just a stupid mistake didn't feel the need to send out an RFE for it!! Hopefully they don't pick up on it at the interview :/ but we're feeling very grateful that somehow we didn't get an RFE for this!

I (petitioner) wore my glasses in my passport style photo, will I get an RFE

Alsl, if so, is there a way I can send them a new one now instead of waiting? (Late January 2018 filer)

Great question... you might call USCIS and ask the question. If unclear, request a callback from a Tier 2 officer to discuss.

First you need to wait and see what's the rfe is about. It will probably reach you in a week. Just today someone got their approval in 1 month after receiving an rfe. Don't worry. At least it's movement better than just waiting without anything and getting an rfe even later in the game.

did you go through your files? Do you have any idea what can it be?

start checking your application.

They don't tell what's in the rfe on phone. Don't even bother calling. If that was the case every body would call.

They send rfes for simple things now, just don't worry till you see what they're asking from you.
