Scandi thanks for your reply. Quick clarificarion. Since I didn't disclose the previous marriage terminated prior to my ex though it was part of the I-130 paperwork submitted almost 20yrs ago before I finally became a Citizen and only disclosed my current ex on the I-129F form for K1 Visa and submitted the divorce decree along. Now sending in that one and the latest divorce decree to satisfy RFE would that in anyway jeopardize my petition since the previous one prior was not disclosed on the form or do I fill out another I-129F and send along?

Hello,

Just wanted to give an update:

I received an RFE and got the hard copy today. It states that they need proof of meeting in person. I sent all of my airline tickets and thought that would be enough. But it didn't occur to me that we didn't meet in his country. He is from Argentina but we met in Mexico. I have been flying back and forth to Mexico about 7 times to visit him. So I sent my airline tickets again with receipts and also his visa for Mexico do you think this will be enough?

Passport stamps is the best proof that you actually went to Mexico to see him. Boarding passes are good too, but you can techincally get those without actually boarding the plane.

Also does anyone know if they will deny you after an RFE? Or will they send another RFE if you didn't provide enough evidence?

Also add tickets to things you went to see together in Mexico, preferably with photos that were taken at those places to verify you were actually there together at that date.

And hotel receipts perhaps.

Thank you for your response, I hope I sent enough back for them to approve. I also typed up a statement explaining why we met in Mexico with all the dates.

I added movie tickets and the place we went diving at. I sent them photos of us diving together. Also tickets to the ruins that we went to, with photos. We never stayed at a hotel, paid cash for hostels and never got receipts.

Hello again,

Well isn't there a saying if you want it done right do it yourself?

Well I gave my father my RFE to mail because he was in his way there. I gave him everything that needed to be mailed including the envelope with the address on it (in red) and I ask gave him the envelope that it came in. I told him to address it with the address in red. Well he used the other address on the other envelope. The reason I didn't fill it out was because I sent it express and there is a certain label you have to put on it.

He said he wrote in big letters RFE on the front and back. Do you think it will get to the right department? Also will this cause a delay? Should I call them and tell them what happened and send a new one to the correct address?

This is so frustrating, I just want it to get to the right person on time.

Thank you for all of your help.

The best proof is pictures cos airline tickets to Mexico does not show that you went to see him in that country. If u don't have pics of your visit, it's no way they will believe you.

Thank you for your response,

I sent them photos of us together, and labeled them where we were and the date in the initial packet. Also we went to the Ruiens in Mexico where I sent the photos from that along with the tickets we purchased to get in.

The packet I just sent I included all the same information along with his passport visa to Mexico. Do you think that would be enough?

Oh yes that is definitely enough. If you sent that then you are covered. Good luck!

Great thanks. I hope so

Help, I sent my application for K-1 off on December 28, 2015. Arrived January 2016. Feb. 2016 sent RFE. Returned RFE and it posted March 8. Nothing has changed on the website since then. I sent in an inquiry about what is taking so long. Responded with it is on hold pending background checks. Has anyone had this happen before and how long did it take? Also, I received a NOA 1 again, receipt of payment dated December 28, 2015 an then current date 8-29-16. Is this normal? Is any of this normal?

Just wanted to give an update:

Received RFE 8-23-16 hard copy 8-28-16. Responded express mail and they received it 8-29-16. Now approved 3 days after response. I can not believe they approved is so fast after the response. We are so lucky because I hear the usual wait is 2-4 weeks. Thank you guys for your fast response and making me feel calm.

TFO98,

Sorry for the delay in my response, a hurricane was rolling through O.O.

Your timeframe is well over the 90 day response time. I would contact your local congressman and give them the dates of everything g to have them look over it again. You are also out of normal processing time so they should be able to help!

Give us an update if this helps!
