Hey everyone! So my I-130 was approved June 10th.

I have been waiting to get my welcome packet from the NVC and still have not.

At the end of September I got a letter in the mail from USCIS saying that I have an interview at the ATL field office.

My lawyer scheduled an INFOPASS appointment for the week before the interview because he said the interview was a mix up on their end. He went to the interview and they told him that my petition was approved but I still needed to attend the scheduled interview and show them my approval letter, they would realize their mistake, and then they would send my file to the NVC.

I went to the interview, the officer was thinking that my husband was here (which he is not, he is in Guatemala), it was a big mess, but she wasn't understanding me when I was telling her that my file was supposed to go to the NVC. She said there was conflicting information (even though the computer said it was approved and I had my approval letter) and that she was going to send it back to the California Service Center so they could straighten it out! frown.gif((( She said I should hear from California at the beginning year. I asked her if there was I way that I could contact the service center and she said "you can try but the odds of someone actually pulling your file are slim" because someone will have to actually look the hard copy and not the computer.

Does anyone have any advice for getting in touch with someone at the California Service Center that will pull my file?

Have you discussed this with your lawyer, only things that comes to mind is seeking an expedited due to their error, not sure how successful that would be.
