Dear All,

My name is Laith ,Jordanian now stay in qatar since 2002 (Project Engineer),Please note that I received the attached notice of action in 2012 which accepted my case which was submitted in 2010 by my brother who is a US citizen (stay in New York), till now no body contacted me, please advise how long do I need to wait till I got my immigration case approve (brother to bring his brother) it had been now more than 5 years and no body send me anything and is there any way to reduce the waiting period,

My concern is that my eldest daughter now in grade 6 and she need another 7 years to finish her school here in Qatar, and I am planning to have their university degree in the state, is it possible that I will be there before this date (total waiting period 12 years) (2010-2022) and if I didn’t get the immigration by that time can I go to stay there till it is approved,

Appreciate your cooperation and early reply,

Sibling petitions are at the bottom of the heap for getting visa numbers. People that applied 12.5 years ago are just now getting visa numbers. However there is a large chance that people who applied more recently will wait longer than that. Immigration reform could change it to be shorter or longer if they even pass something that affects that class of visa. You could come to the US on a different visa , or your daughter could go for a student visa to go early if you haven't gotten a visa by then.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
