Is the cost for the visa still $65 from the embassy in Washington, DC? Has anyone recently applied and can give me the current price?

Thanks!

3 months ago I applied for my visa via a Vietnam travel agent for $50. They copied the ID page of my passport that was it. They filled out the form, purchased the money order, sent it in, etc. I received my visa 2 weeks later on a piece of loose paper. They also took and printed my photo to send it with the visa application for an additional $5. If you live in a city with a sizable Vietnamese community, such service may be the most convenient. Also, if you purchase the ticket from them, the ticket price will usually include the visa fees and all.

If you do it this way though: Once in Vietnam, make a photocopy front and back of that loose-paper visa. When you enter Vietnam, immigration will give you a stamp with dates in the back of that paper. Be sure to copy that for your proof of meeting, because they collect the paper when you exit Vietnam. Make sure you do that.

My visa costs me five dollars, and it's permanent visa with multiple entries from Cambodia. Weird. Why would they give me a permanent visa when I'm a US Citizen? I saw other foreigners receiving 30-60 day visa, and charged 20 bucks. I find it funny. The office who gave me the VISA probably thought I was once a native Cambodian but immigrated to the States.

VN Visa was included in my airline ticket via Travel agent. About $35 per 1-time Visa.
