Hi

The issue is when i applied for my canadian citizenship i had not put my middle name..

and my ctznshp is due on the 17 of this month so i will get my cdn passport without my middle name

But all my K1 approvals are with my middle name as per my Indian paasport..

My interview is on the 28 Apr would this a problem at the interview??

I tried the registrars office in Ontario for formal name change and they said if you need 1 it takes about 6 to 8 weeks is it worth???

Any suggetsions are welcome..

Pri, I don't think this is a big concern. I am a Canadian - born and raised, and I have some documents with my middle name on it and some without, and some documents just have the initial of my middle name. I think that just as long as your first and last name are correct then you are fine. Did the register's office in Ontario tell you if this is vital or not?

I know this is kinda off the topic but.............

Just don't get a divorce without your middle initial if its on your marriage certificate. My fiance's (*&$#)@&$)@#$ attorney screwed up and forgot his middle initial on the divorce papers. We have now been held up in court for 9 months because of it. He had to prove that they were both the same person.

Good Luck Pri!

The Registars Office wouldnt hear to my whole saga and just spilled out that i need to do the name change..

and said they will send out the forms and hung up the phone..

so i just think since i have all the docs in place and my Indian passport with the middle name so it should not matter max they would ask me to get my change of name cert..so i am just going with my current Cdn passport and my previus Indian passport

Okay, this doesn't sit well with me. It sounds like this woman doesn't understand what her job as a "public servant" means. If I was in your shoes, I would have called back and asked to speak to her supervisor. How about giving the passport office a call and asking them?
