Please note: Your fiancée can not apply for a SSN since he is coming on a K1 visa. He has to apply for his AOS and EAD first and get approve before applying for a social security card.

See the attached for cover letter for your AOS and EAD guidelines. free feel to contact me at 713-4744565 if you need my assistant I can help with all the processing.

You are incorrect. A K-1 entrant is eligible to receive an SSN right after entry. They can use their I-94 and passport to get one. See the guide linked to in this thread. Also, someone adjusting from a K-1 does not need an I-130. The OP can find guides and processing assistance here on VJ.

Also, no need to wait 2 weeks after entrance to apply for the SSN. That was the case before electronic I-94s, but not necessary anymore.

I agree with KayDeeCee, my wife (we got married a week after her arrival on a K1) applied for and received her SSC before we even submitted the AOS package. The only issues we faced was the SSA clerk insisted she get the first card in her maiden name that matched the I94 and passport even though we had a certified marriage license with us. We changed the name once she received her EAD. Edited by Bill & Katya
