Firstly, I give God the praise who made this first phase of my fiance"s k1 petition successful, the interview was just a testimony.Through, it all everything ended well in 3months. Thanks to everyone on visa journey who never gets tired of answering people's questions, you are mostly appreciated, your labor of love will be rewarded, and to those who are just starting the process,I pray for God's uncommon favor for y"all. Here I am again,my fiance should be here in the States within the next couple of weeks, and planning to get married before December runs out, so I want to get all these documents printed out before his arrival, here are my questions VJs

1. Can he apply for SSN immediately, I mean a day after he arrives because I read somewhere that the fiance/fiancee needs to wait for @ least 2wks so that his/her information would have been in the system for verification, but the I-94 still has to be valid prior to applying for a SSN, and what accompanying documents does he needs for the SSN application?

2. Before we can get married, do I need to notify the court here, if so are they the one to give a specific date or me?

3. About the AOS and EAD, I want to file everything at once, I mean concurrently, how long does this takes and how much does this two costs? Or is there a waiver?

4.What other documents do I need to send to accompany the AOS and AED?

5. My father was the one that stood in as a sponsor during the process of filing, can I still use him for form I-864? because im not working, and what will his claim be? (a) 1st joint sponsor (b)2nd joint sponsor © Substitute sponsor (d)5% owner.

You don't need to wait 2 weeks before applying for the SSN.

Print out your I-94 info > https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

The fees for the I-765(EAD-work authorization) and I-131(AP-advance parole for travel) are waived when filed with a pending I-485, so include both of those too. It takes about 60-90 days to receive the EAD/AP combo card, which will allow you to work(along with an SSN) and re-enter the US when traveling abroad while waiting for the green card approval.

You need all the supporting documents for each form as well, so read the instructions for each one. You can also search here on VJ for what to include with each form if you get stumped. There are also example forms here on VJ you can look at when filling out the forms. They can be helpful.

Thanks to everyone for your prompt responses and congratulatory messages. @KayDeeCee do you mean that if I file the AOS together with EAD, and AP, the two latter fees will be waived, and I only need to pay $1,070 for AOS ($985) for the actual application and $85 for biometrics???

@Naija234, he went with the exact copies of our frontloaded documents, my original birth cert, his"s, original approval notice, more pictures, affidavit of support, and in all the FAVOR OF GOD!!! I also wish yours successful interview, goodluck

Please note: Your fiancée can not apply for a SSN since he is coming on a K1 visa. He has to apply for his AOS and EAD first and get approve before applying for a social security card.

Give it a couple of weeks after arrival so you are in the system and then get your SSN
