What if i along my wife file for residence after arriving with visit visa?

Hello everyone.

I'm in love with a girl and soon we'll get married. Her family is against it so we'll marry in court. We both belong to Pakistan and such marriages are not appreciated by some people. Same is the case with me. Is that possible if I bring my wife on visit visa and we both apply for residency here in US? I too have valid visit visa. What is the best way for me to save both of ours lives...

Welcome to the forum.

To come to the US on a visitor/tourist visa with the intention of immigration is illegal and is called immigration fraud. The intention of a visitor/tourist visa is to come to the US, visit, and then return to your home country.

Is one of you a US citizen or (LPR) green card holder? If yes, then the USC or LPR can file a petition. If no, then there is no path for you to gain residency.

Obtaining a visitor visa may prove extremely difficult. Your spouse would not be "brought" by you. You have nothing to do with her visa application. She applies for a visa on her own and proves she has strong ties to home.

Perhaps if one of you can qualify for an investor visa, or H1B visa you can live in the US.

Do some research to learn your options.

A H1B visa is extremely difficult to obtain, is extremely costly, takes a long time and is only for very specific people. You would also need a business/company to sponsor you to obtain the H1B visa.

If you want to start your own business you could apply for a investment visa but you would need to prove you would be willing to invest approx $1 million US and employ a curtain amount of US citizens.

There will be no way to live in the US permanently if you both get a tourist visa and get married, it doesn't work that way. If you stay illegally after your visa you will be deported, you will also not be able to work either.

There is no way for you to do what you are thinking sorry.

04/28/19 - So far lots of USCIS "nothing has changed" bi weekly status update e-mails.

05/07/19 - Received notification that my N400 interview had been scheduled.

05/08/19 - N400 Interview letter was available to view online.

05/13/19 - Received physical copy of N400 interview letter in mail.

06/14/19 - N400 Interview Passed. Recommended for citizenship.

06/22/19 - N400 Approved

07/24/19 - Oath ceremony scheduled

There is no way for you to do what you are thinking sorry.

It's a stretch to say that they'll be deported. That's highly unlikely if they keep their noses clean. However it's not legal and you won't be able to live a good life that way either.

Wrong forum, looking for ways to immigrate to the US. Neither have any connection beyond one having a visitor visa.

How much do you have to invest, look at EB5?
