With all due respect- to you Ebun-- What you told me back in August was inconsistant with what you advise others.

What about the cases where USCIS reviews it for a second time and sends it back to the Embassy? Which you have advises others.

You have also advised others in my situation to contact Senate and Congess etc. My neighbor in the community (an attorney) has a direct link to both offices in New Jersey and was still useless. He was kind enough to help me however he still got no where.

Are you a qualified immigration attorney? If so then I would expect one consistent answer.

Again, I value the opinions and comments from everyone however, at this point it is all conjecture and no one knows the answers.

I stand firm that I do not want to be forced out of the country where I have paid over half a million dollars in taxes since I started working..to get married in India, only to come back alone, with a husband in India, to have yet another ignorant CO deny my husband because of small minded customs and practices.

I have the right to marry in my own country. Has anyone ever seen the program 90 Day Fiancee...Its a JOKE!!!

I am calling Channel 7 news next week. I cannot and will no accept this BS treatment. Its wrong.

Have a nice day!

I get your frustration but take a deep breath and refocus. If you really want to get married and get your loved one over here you will have to follow the advise that you got on here. Kicking and screaming won't do nothing for you except wear you out!

Immigration is a privilege, NOT a right. You need to get off your high horse and understand that.

I see it as a privilege if a foreigner is coming to vacation but,

If someone has an American citizen spouse or family member in the US, it should be a right along as they have no serious convictions.

This whole immigration process is the biggest joke I have ever witnessed in my life. Millions of people enter the US illegally to have kids, get married, etc, and they are given documents like its nothing. But people who want to do this process the legitimate way get the most harassment from all possible places, CBP Officers, Consulate Officers, USCIS. The other day I was reading this forum and someone posted about how their fiancé admitted to trying marijuana in highschool, instant 1 year ban, waivers and lawyers needed now. absolutely disgusting.

There is no quality control happening, too many ignorant and short tempered people working in the immigration field.

Ok great but in the meantime it will behoove u to follow Ebunoluwa's advice to get your case taken care of. Your griping and high horse ride will not magically change immigration laws and processes. Seriously if that worked don't you think we all and the thousands before us would have already done that?

Then you can begin a campaign with congressmen to begin real immigration reform! Maybe start an awareness for change organization.

Best of Luck!

My husband and I had a tough time with the K1 as well. We didn't give enough information the first time and by the time I was able to get it to them the petition expired. At that point, if we wanted to be considered again we had to file again and pay the fees. So we did. When he went for interview he was denied because of the previous filing. He had forgotten that I had filed and they put it in AP and then was denied again.

I would disagree with leaving here to go to India and live. I absolutely agree you should go there and get married.I couldn't leave my work either... nor my family. It may not be what you want to do, but in our case it has been the best thing we ever did.

Is it hard to live apart from your spouse? ABSOLUTELY!!! very hard. But we filed the K3 and we are having our interview this coming week.

None of this is easy. It takes patience and hard work and determination. If you really love each other and you know you can make it work It is the best way to get this completed and start your life together.

USCIS and NVC want to be sure of the relationship and I understand that. So many just want to be here. You know in your heart of hearts that this is real. They do not. They aren't in your shoes and have seen many couples who are trying to beat the system. It's just their job.

And BTW... not everyone has a problem with USCIS or NVC.... or any part of this process. If forms are completed correctly, information is given as requested, proof of relationship is given... yada yada... if you have the right information from the beginning and help along the way they do not give you a problem. I have had absolutely no problems with any of this process. I have never been asked to resubmit anything at all with the K3.

Please realize... they are only working with the paperwork. They have guidelines and policies as every other company does.

Go right ahead and be as righteously indignant as you like. Will it get you anywhere? Anywhere? No. No it will not.

You've been given excellent advice, whether you can see it or not.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Boston Montreal said it best. The choice is clear. 1. Be right and angry and focus your time and energy on being wronged and single or 2. Take the advice of those with an understanding of the system and work on being reunited with your fiancé/husband. Either way, you should take the path that is most important to you.

I know and now I'm thinking in another way- it's just a huge financial burden to leave a steady job, an apartment, and not know the outcome. I guess my first step will be to get my ticket to India the rest will fall into place. Thanks guys especially for the tough love.
