Hi !

I'm sponsoring my sister to come to the US under F4 category. I have a question about verifying my income on the Affidavit of Support form. I have transcripts of my tax returns from the IRS, but l file jointly with my wife, but for the AOS, l am just using my income, and not my wife's. I am sending them my social security statement, and my paystubs, which have mine, and my employer's name, but it says on the NVC page that l should have a document, and it mentions a paystub, that has a letterhead (my paystub has the agency/company logo) and it should be signed by somebody !! Whoever heard of a paystub being signed by anybody or having a signature on it...none that l've ever had in my 50 odd years have. With my transcripts,W2's,pay stubs, and SS statement..l would have thought that was sufficient. Anybody care to comment, or had a similar problem with NVC querying their income ? After a 12 yr wait, the end is almost in sight !

Thanks

A signed letter from your employer stating position, pay rate, length of service.

Just ask HR for an employment verification letter. it will include or be sure to stress it should what anh map suggested. Its not that big a deal all things considered. A pay stub may not have your service history and position clearly stated on there.
