NAIA airport modus?

Any filipina went back home to Philippines recently? How was your experience? I heard about tittle-tattle of "tanim bala gang" I am leaving in 2 weeks and I just want to travel safe.

We had no issues, we flew over in May and got back the end of August.

I think that is more of a "story" than a reality.

That tanim bala is true. So u better watch out on ur luggage when entering naia. Others wrap their bags with plastic and others wrap their boxes with thick packaging tape. Better to put some key on ur bag's zipper so they wont open it. In case u encounter this modus, try not to hold the bullet so that it will not leave any fingerprint on it and try to call an officer to look on it. Always put ur bag in front of u and always look over to ur belongings. Have a safe trip guys

Hi Everyone, I am also scared going back to the Philippines next week since my mom is at the ICU...I just don't know when will I put a cling wrap on my bag to be double sure not to get that bullets on my bag. Here are some tips I found that may help us . I will update you on the situation next week. Wish me luck

Hi Kathy,

I will be flying by Wednesday next week. Yes , I think I will wrap my luggage when I reached my final stopover in HongKong. Before I plan to bring 2 check in luggages but since this is happening, I will just bring a 20" carry on luggage instead, dun na lang ako bili ng pasalubong. . I will update you dear.

Pwede ba magdala ng plastic wrap? Nov 4 ka ba? Im flying out Nov 10. My stop over din ako hongkong. Where are you coming from? Mine will be Denver-SF-HKG-PI. Sa HKG ba mag check out and check in ka din luggage?

I am excited and scared at the same time. I have 2 check ins as well.

dont bring carry on's that has open pockets where they can easily slip those bullets, i will put pad locks on those carry on's as well

Thanks sis! Yes please let me know. I will be taking 2 check ins and 1 carry on. All of them has couple pockets. I cannot affort to buy new suitcases for this trip. We already spent a lot. I am going to pick my daughter up. And I will not be back to the Philippines for a while because we need to get settled and save money hoping we can all fly out next time with my husband and his son.

Always check your pockets, carry on luggage and purse before you pass the two xrays especially at the last xray in NAIA...Be at the airport early so that you have enough time to check your belongings... Be aware of your sorroundings.. Don't trust anybody!

Hello all,

Put cling wraps on ur luggages. That is what i will definitely do. Kasi sometimes, they're still able to slip bullets in the zipper even if there's a lock on ur luggages. Pag tinusok mo ung middle part of the zipper with a ballpen, it will open up easily and mahuhulog pa din nila yung bala sa loob. So just wrap it cling wraps multiple times and lets pray na ma spare tayo sa ganyang modus.
