No you'll be fine. Especially for Texas as we have a womens health program that is state funded.

The only thing that could hinder you will be your income, if you have none and even have a cosponsor, you could be asked for a second cosponsor like my fiance was at our interview.

Oh yeah then you'll be fine! And I think texas women's health coverage is like alternative to insurance itself, it basically deals with ONLY women needs and pregnancy and such it should be like an addon to what you already have! But yeah that would be a big help during maternity leave!

Apparently the texas womens health deals with you if you are NOT pregnant and has a pretty tight monthly income limit. So you'll probably be put on basic medicaid, which still shouldn't be an issue.

http://www.texaswomenshealth.org/

And then you can apply for the medicaid here: https://www.yourtexasbenefits.com/ssp/SSPHome/ssphome.jsp

It's an awful site. Loading is bad, the format is bad, you have to be really patient with it lol.

Also remember to try to get on WIC if you can! https://www.dshs.state.tx.us/wichd/
