I just realized I've been asking my questions in the wrong forum, so I thought I'd try here.

My fiancee is filling out the first set of forms sent to her by the Embassy. She was sent DS-157, which is required for MALE applicants. Seeing as my fiancee is a woman, does she need to bother filling this out? Can she just throw it away? I'm confused because VJ's example form is filled about by a 'woman.'

Also, when she was sent her packet, she was only given form DS-230 part 1. Is this normal? Is part 1 all she needs to send to the embassy?

Thank you for the help!

Whatever the US Embassy sent to your fiancee to be fill up then she should fill up those forms. My friend filled the DS-157 and she's a woman and yes, she just got the DS-230 part 1 only, and so am I before.
