L1 Visa Help

Hi,

So my employer is applying for an L1 Visa for me, to transfer from London to San Francisco. Another guy going to work at a tech company. Is the L1 a 100% certainty?

I'm not married, but do have a partner but we aren't really ready to tie the knot but I'd really like them to come with me. Is there any way they can work on my VISA, or a way they can get permission to reside and work in the US independently (she's a freelance graphic designer). Could anyone advise?

Thanks so much!

Dom

No visa is 100%

VISA is a credit card, you probably can add her to that, visa for immigration would be a L2 for spouses.

Partner would be a B Cohabitating, no work authorisation. Check that your company extend benefits like Healthcare to Partners.

She can look to make her own way, chances slim to nil unless she is a name and would not be until next October at the earliest.
