I've read people's experienced and many commented how they interviewer took their ead and I-94 however my interviewer didn't take those, other then my ead card I don't even think he looked at my I-94. He took utility bills, pictures and our joint bank statement. I'm starting to wonder why he took those but not my I-94?

She took my (ancient) I-94, but didn't ask for my EAD.

I don't think you need to worry, though. Some IOs collect the I-94, others don't. There doesn't seem to be an official policy, especially now that the paper I-94 system is being phased out. So, while it's usually a good sign if the IO takes the I-94, it isn't a bad sign if they don't take it. Does that make sense? Sometimes they don't take the I-94 simply because it's not what they do.

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

I had my interview on Oct 5th and I/O didn't take my I-94 and EAD/AP card. Got approved after overstayed my Visa Waiver a week after my interview.
