I think that depends what country you're from. For sure, most Europeans don't see the US that way, rather the total opposite. :) For me, there are so many things in the US that I still don't know if I'll be able to live with.

I love the idea of doing a "We the people" petition, at least to highlight the issues most people are facing at NVC. The whole NVC process definitely needs to be looked at.

We were stuck at NVC for eight months, almost four and a half of those were spent on supervisor review. My advice is that if you haven't heard anything by day 46 on supervisor review, involve your Senator. Our Senator getting involved is what got us our cc. Otherwise, I'm sure we would have still been stuck at NVC.

That's very true! I should have said the less developed countries than the US. But I think every stage in the process can become a huge hassle. Some people get stuck at any or every stage in the process. Others are just lucky. I love the idea of a very large petition, if we could get every person on VJ to sign it imagine the impact that would have. Surely these government agencies handling every process of immigration aren't as understaffed as they'd like us to believe. I'm sure they have a good amount of lazy unqualified workers just like any other workplace.
