Final visa fee

Hey all,

I'm a little confused on this final fee that has to be paid, apparently at the interview. What is it for, how much is it, and what payment type is preferred? I can't find clear-cut answers to these questions, and it seems to be information that everyone else somehow already knows :/ Thanks for the clarification.

It is different from country to country how the are paid. Some pay online before the interview and some have to bring the money.

So people can't help if they don't know what country you are talking about?

THere is a fee to be paid after the interview, it pays for administration of your GC, after your interview you get a letter with your passport/visa telling you this

Is this the payment you mean?

More information and your country would be very helpful

Sorry - the country is Hungary. I've gone over the letter they sent a couple of times, and I don't see any mention of an additional fee payment in there. In fact, under the list of documents she needs to bring, it says this : "FEE PAYMENT $ -- Payment received"

So I guess I'm confused. Is there another payment that needs to be made? Have I already paid everything during the filing process??

What visa is it for? k-1 or CR-1??

There aren't any fees that need to be paid at the interview for your visa category.

Once the visa is approved, you'll be given a letter with an alien number and case number. You'll use this information to pay the green card production fee ($165). After you enter the US, you won't be issued a GC until the fee is paid.
