N400 - 3 questions!!

Hi all,

I have a few questions about the naturalization process in my case:

1. I received my GC on Jan 30th 2011, so it will be 5 years in 2016. I was under the impression that I can file 90 prior to the date I am officially eligible and the only thing is they would not schedule the oath before the actual 5 year mark (that's if it was taking less than 3 month!). Is this correct?

2. I am moving from Texas to New York this coming weekend. On USCIS website one of the conditions listed for N400 is: "Have lived within the state, or USCIS district with jurisdiction over the applicant’s place of residence, for at least 3 months prior to the date of filing the application." Texas and NY depend on the same filing location (Lewisville, TX). Does this mean I do not need to wait the 3 months after I move?

3. I received my GC on the basis of being married to a USC. We got divorced 2 years ago and since I already had lifted the conditions at that time, I never notified USCIS. Do I need to provide my divorce papers or any other documents with the application? Can it negatively affect my application even if I am applying under the 5 year rule?

Thank you!!!!!

1) Yes.

2) I believe they mean USCIS field office and not the filing location. So once you move, you'll have to wait 3 months before you can file the N-400.

3) Nope, I don't think you need to send this in with the form but, it would be best to bring the marriage and divorce certificates with you to the interview
