Hi all! Thank you so much for all your help and support!! After an agonizing 15 months my husband had his interview today at the islamabad embassy and was told that he would have his passport within 10 days!!!

I am so excited :) but a little apprehensive. It seems too good to be true. He didn't receive any kind of document with info about a courier service nor did he get any slip of paper they just returned the original documents. Should i be worried about this at all?

And after they tell you that you'll receive your passport in 10 days is there a chance they would put you in administrative processing for a significant period of time?

Sorry if these questions have been addressed or are infantile; but after months of anxiety I still can't believe that he might be here soon

Thank you all once again for your support and help

First of all congrats for your husbands Interview. Secondly Ap doesnt always mean a Background check which i assume you are in Fear of. When the embassy is in process of printing the visa on the passport the status shows AP too so you shouldnt be afraid inshallahevery thing will go fine just wait his passport might be in process of getting a visa print on it. So you will hear a good news very soon Best of Luck

Thank you so much for your reply. My husband says the officer barely glanced at him and just kept typing. Returned original documents and said "most probably your visa will be approved. Expect a call from fedex in 10 days"

The most probably is bothering me. Like I said, I might be reading too much into it but am scared they might put him in administrative processing later on.

Don't worry before Monday at the earliest. Also when he entered the embassy someone should have handed him 2 things one is the courier sheet and the other is the domestic violence brochure. You will find if you check your car status it will say ap that is routine even for approved applications and means they are working on your case.

hi to everyone . i have a question for u guys as u all are done with ur interview stage . i just want to know that does the selection of language for interview matters? and have any effact on ur visa?

No language selection doesn't matter. So it's good to choose Urdu, then during the interview you can speak in English if you want, but in case you miss something, there will be a translator. I chose Urdu but my interview was a mixture of english and urdu.
