A hypothetical Question

Let's say at the AOS interview, one is informed that the adjustment applicant's FBI namecheck hasn't been completed yet (i.e. approved pending completion of the FBI namecheck), will the adjudicator still keep the EAD or will it be handed back to the applicant? How about the AP?

I would assume they'd return the EAD and/or AP until the namecheck is completed but has anyone had any experience on this?

The adjudicator will return the EAD and AP to the applicant. I haven't experienced that personally, but lots of others on this board have.

LOL...well hopefully it won't happen to you. It doesn't happen to most people, and even those who do get 'stuck' usually aren't stuck long.
