Sorry but you do seem to be trying to get to the U.S anyway possible, I have a foreign languages degree, and I've never left my country, and to quit your job and take your child with you just for a 3 month course (which you could totally take online) or at home with native teachers? nope, sorrry, not buying it!

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. And I am not going to be quitting my job. I'd really like to change careers but that probably won't happen for a while. And yeah, I could take some class where I am, and I already have taken a lot of English classes (I think they worked quite well), but I would like to see America, and I'd like to take this free class since it will be English, taught in America, by native speakers. I don't know why this visa process has to be filled with suspicion? I read they only turn down 7 percent of Russians who try to get a tourist visa, so I think the people making the decisions are less suspicious than you think!

If you want to see America, come see it! If you want to take some free classes or discounted classes, take them! If you want to stay with a friend who is maybe a boy or maybe a girl, stay with your friend. If you want to bring your child or leave your child, it's your choice. If you have true intentions to just visit and go back to your home country, then try your luck with the visitor visa. None of us here will be your CO, and you surely don't have to persuade or justify anything to anyone here. I'm sure some of these comments were trying to be helpful by showing you what concerns immigration may have with your intentions, but in all honesty I know some were just downright negative and not very helpful, even though this site is meant to be a positive place for encouragement, advice, and all that. With whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best on your journey. If you make it here, I hope you enjoy the sights, and may you have a blast with the classes you are wishing to take. :)

From your posts its clear to see your English is fine.

You are suspicious because you keep coming up with new ideas, anything to go to the US.

If you want to apply then do it. I wouldn't put your hopes up as we can see straight through you and the CO will too.

Well, ELS school :) It's actually, not a school, it's classes you can take at any Adult Education Center in your county. ESL classes are really free - usually State pays for it. Classes supposed to help non-English speaking people from different countries to acclimate and be able to speak English at least A LITTLE. It's a good idea, but it's definitely wrong place to "get rid of bad accent and start speak English fluently" :)

When I arrived here, I have visited ESL for a short time, trying "to kill "my time, waiting for EAD.

Anyway, first, anybody can take these classes - the student visa is not required.. None visa is required :) And it does not matter what is your immigration status either - they don't even ask for your ID to sign :)

Second, they don't last only 3 months - there is no time limit to take the classes. I know people, who have been visiting classes for years, some of them already have their citizenship and they still go to ESL school..

And third.. I agree with all of you, guys, - I think OP just keeps looking for any opportunity to come here, to the US, "creating" different stories, friend and circumstances.

The discussion can go on and on and makes no difference as none of will be making the call.

My starting point on these questions, and there have been many, is does it pass the smell test, is it logical.

I have done similar things in the past, but not for 3 months, taking Gap years and travelling is quite common in the UK.

But the OP seemingly has limited funds and a child in tow, child needs to go to School?, not saying this is totally impossible but seems very odd.

Perhaps there is something that has not been shared that would explain all.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

even though this site is meant to be a positive place for encouragement, advice, and all that.

Unfortunately sometimes encouragement and advice don't go hand in hand on this site.

Sometimes encouragement can equal bad advice, and good advice can equally not be very encouraging.

The OP has started threads for advice on visas using two totally different scenarios. To a suspicious CO (and they are ALL suspicious, that's their job) it could appear that she is just shopping around for any valid way to get to the US.

Encouragement would be to just tell her to go for it without any cares.

Good advice would be to highlight some of the difficulties she MAY face, so that she can have a clearer picture of the road ahead.

August 2000: We start e-mailing. I'm in Bosnia, she's in Florida

October 29th 2000: She sends me e-mail asking if I would marry her

October 29th 2000(5 seconds later): I say yes

November 2000: She sends me tickets to Orlando for when I get back

December 6th 2000: Return from Bos

December 11th 2000: Fly to Orlando, she meets me at airport

December 22nd 2000: I fly back to UK

January 3rd 2001: She flies to UK (Good times)

Mid February 2001: Pregnancy test Positive

Mid February 2001: She flies back to US

March 2001: Miscarriage, I fly to US on first flight I can get

May 2001: I leave US before my 90 days are up

June 2001: I fly back to US, stopped at airport for questioning as I had only just left

September 2001: Pregnancy test Positive again

September 2001: She falls sick, I make decision to stay to look after her as I am afraid I may have problems getting back in.

April 16th 2002: Our son is born, we start getting stuff together for his passport

March 6th 2003: We leave US for UK as family

Early April 2003: Family troubles make her return to US, I ask Embassy in London about possibilities of returning to US

April 16th 2003: London Embassy informs me that I will be banned from the Visa Waiver Program for 10 years, my little boys first birthday

June 13th 2006: I-129f sent

August 11th 2006: NOA1 Recieved

After our relationship breaks down she admits to me that she had never bothered to start the application process

That's why I'm posting here, the cost of the visa isn't insignificant to me, and I'd like to have a good chance of getting approval. Also I have heard if you don't get it the first try, it's even harder to try again. So I was looking for tips, but I guess most people here think everything has to be fraud, which isn't the case at all. I just want to know what to say, and what to keep quiet about.

When it comes to that, you shouldn't keep quiet about anything, if they ask you something, answer with the truth... period.

You'll never know 'til you try.

Best of luck!
