Feeling so stupid! I requested to have my AOS interview August 11 postponed because I had already purchased tickets overseas in June for the date then a month b4 the date, they send interview date for the week of my trip. I got a letter from local uscis approving the interview reschedule so I said fine went on trip.

Now ff to October and we just got a letter from uscis that we are denied I-485 due to abandonment. To make things worse, we just spent the last 4 hours searching my house for the supposed letter now I'm psyching myself out because I'm like "are we imagining this reschedule approval?" I know we can't be but why can't we find the letter?! We are getting along great and planning a bright future. Our baby has two loving parents. I can't move to his home country in west Africa due to many reasons, especially im in med school. My husband (the beneficiary) is crying on the couch about what would happen if he can't see me and the baby anymore. Our whole world seems crushed. And this sucks because it's midterms next week (I know this seems minor but I'm finding it impossible to focus). Please someone give us hope!!!!! Please tell me he won't get deported! Please give us some advice!

He is here on K1 visa, arrived in March, married in April, and sent 485 in May.

Follow up. Found email from end of July from uscis stating we were allowed to reschedule that they would send us a new date!!!! So the paper mail WAS a figment of imagination. But the email was not! Made appt for infopass for next week. Hoping we don't have too much trouble getting our new AOS date. Or wonder if we will have to appeal,? Anyways big relief so far!
