Just wondering if AP in Manila is a black hole. It has been about a month now with no response from email or any additional checklist. The date has changed a few times which to me means they at least are looking at it. Is there any number for the Embassy IV department that my spouse in Manila can call to check? Or at this point am I just playing the waiting game.

Is your case already completed in NVC?

Yes we went for our interview the 21st of September and received a 221g. The consul was very rude and did not look at all of our evidence. We are on CR1 visa.

Hang in there, Bones. Every day, you are one day closer to the end of the waiting game. Just think about how good it's going to feel to have that visa! Is your wife planning on traveling to the U.S. fairly soon after she receives her visa? My wife was here about three weeks after she received her fiancée visa.

Actually she will spend 2 weeks back home with her family in a small village in Antique. Thank you very much for your encouragement. It helps in this hard time.

Bones...it will be worth the agonizing wait. In the meantime, get your place cleaned up, and go get a 25-pound sack of Jasmine rice.

At least your case is not in the NVC anymore. Mine was there since August. And it's November now. :(

To answer you original question, YES, AP with a associated 221g in any country is a black hole, you can only wait.

You have the option of contacting you local senator, although it will do nothing to speed the process it will however get a new set of "eyes" on your petition.

Hi!! I just wanted to contribute my experience with AP, since I just got my visa issued today!

I went to my interview on the 15th of September, and there she issued me an AP because she needed more time to look over my papers.

It felt agonizing, like it took FOREVER. In total, it took about 44 days till approval. :D I also learned that if you hear nothing, after 60 days you can start inquiring like crazy until they give you info xD
