Oh my gosh!!! Really. You are the great one. Relief. That is so awesome news. That will make it 100% easy for her. She can now talk away, and give details.

Thank you oh Great One! That is a christmas present, almost as good as the NOA2 (almost). One level of stress removed.

No problem with down the road. She's intent on going to school to beef up her English. She speaks to some extent French, Arabic, Somali, Aramaic, Oromo, English, Afar. All learned informally.

One thing I know for certain about people in that part of the world, not sure about the rest, they learn languages fast--incredibly fast.

I met a ditch digger who knew 5 languages. He told me he learned (he spoke good English) English from the radio--Armed Forces Radio, just listening every afternoon.

A security guard spoke better Spanish than me, put me to shame. Learned it from Puerto Rican national guard who were there for a year. In a year, just listening. And I did meet homeless people in town who could speak Spanish as well--One time I tried to pretend I wasn't American and didn't speak English so as to not get pestered with handouts, imagine my surprise when they pulled out the Spanish....dooh

Once again, thank you for that tidbit. Truly appreciated.....

tick tock tick tock. :clock:

Do us both a favor, check with your Embassy and or someone else who has just gone through the interview and see if they do indeed offer a interpreter. I can only comment on the Philippines but it makes sense so I am sure they do but play it safe and make the call.

I think a lot of them know. I am sure they have thought about what it is like to "walk a mile in your shoes" so if you don't look like your committing a scam, or are a bad guy and you meet their guidelines in all respects, then I think they can find it easy to stamp your ticket to move forward. There are times when someone tries a fast one and then they get the letter that says "do not pass go, do not collect $200" and it's the end of the road.

It burns me up when I hear someone who bitches about the wait, the money, the stupid rules, the this and the that. :girlwerewolf2xn: If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. This is a process not for the weak or the faint of heart. If you follow the rules, have some patience you will get to the top of the HILL. Remember, they have the GOLD so they get to make the rules. Ok, sorry back to what I was doing.... :pop:

Copy that. But can I whine just a little about the wait?

Rules, money, all good. But the wait, ahhhh.... okay... my weak and faint heart will just have to start running laps, and pushups. Gotta stay in shape for the bride to be..

Never mind my whining, I'm a big boy...VJ just a good release. :pop:

I agree with you James. Even if you go into this strong the waiting will make you weak. I am a survivor so I have no doubt abt coming out of this on top. Still weak.

Haha that is very true.

But I do think it's not complaining all the time, sometimes it's just the whole notion of having someone else having your entire future and life in their hands. And the waiting period of not knowing what they're thinking or how long they will think for. It's the whole uncertainty and lack of control that makes us anxious ?

I would like to give you a little bit of insight. When this is all said and done your going to look back and say this was really easy and why did I make such a fuse. Don't think I didn't have those same thoughts after we processed. I haven't processed through any other country but the Philippines, and the things I heard from my wife what she had to go through to get a document I really had a fond respect for her patience and fortitude and hatred for the incompetent Filipino Government.

Example. Don't remember what document she had to get but she stood in line along with others that stretched a block to two blocks long (90 degree heat), just to be handed a form to get out of the line fill it out and then get back into that same line and wait for her turn to be helped. They wouldn't let you go up to the front of the line and get a form. Now why wouldn't someone from this government entity take a stack of forms, walk down the line and ask does anyone need a form. OMG so simple.

Alright, time to go to bed. Good night peoples.

Holly Toledo! That guy is seriously delusional, and wacked out. Not sure about her mental stability to be with someone like that. Just from that short read, my immediate impression is this is a fraud relationship. She's just looking for a way out of her current life's situation, and he was lucky enough (she was unlucky) to hook up with her--look very opposite from picture--not to say Aisha and I look compatible. Just my opinion, please do not beat me up....just opinion.

Yes you are right. I have no problem with the procedure. I wish it were used universally, even for US citizens marrying US citizens---verify that it is a real loving relationship before issuing the license.

And he is stressed over money. My guess she'll be wanting to help her family out at some point, and he should do it. But I can hear the fight about sending $250 to mom/dad or others.

You are a very patient person. May Johnnie Walker be under your tree on Christmas Day, and every day.

Good night. You need the rest from dealing with this stuff on a daily basis. A true saint. Perhaps you will be canonized at some point.

I couldn't do what you do. I imagine it is the Americans who are the worse. We are a spoiled lot.

Thank you again for your efforts, and patience......
